That being said my drs office wont let me vape near the building where theres the only shade. It's not illegal to vape there but since they told me to move they could call the cops and have me removed for trespassing.
I would have moved to public property to vape. Xxxx them.

Me too on the anxiety disorder. ;) When people tell me to "just quit all nic" they have no idea what they are asking.
True story

WHen I quit smoking with vaping I worked myself down to zero nic and stayed there for a year and a half. My depression and anxiety disorders went totally out of control. I had a choice. Use a little nic or go on some serious meds. I went up to 1 mg nic. Depression went away and the anxiety is almost nonexistant (extreme situations will trigger it like the family fighting after my mother's suicide).

I have simply come to the conclusion that at my age after 40ish years of nic my brain is wired to need it. I don't always vape nic liquids. Most of the time I vape 0 nic but I do vape a little of the 1 mg daily. I up the nic amount as the fubar of life increases to stay sane.

I left my setup on the over the bed table, and couple of nurses and aids spotted it. They all said I know what that is and you are not allowed to vape in here. I'm cool with it, but not everone else is. I vape, too.
That's why you keep it in the drawer in the over the bed table. That, and have them close your door and knock before they enter. :)

How do you calculate the OHMs of the coil then with twisted. I know with clapton you calculate on the core wire. With twisted would you handle it sort of like setting up a dual coil build only divide by 3 instead of 2?
Or do one trial build, measure the resistance and work from there with future builds.

Who cares if they ban store bought juice with flavors? Who buys juice in the store? Best learn how to DIY.
I care because it's going to stop other people having the wide -eyed enjoyment of that first vape with great juice that I still remember. Changed my life.

Not sure exactly how I calculated it but I got 600ft of 28g Kanthal, and 300ft of 30g. I think I worked out that 500ft of 28 would last me 20 years by figuring out how many coils I make per month. I keep a table showing each coil I make for each tank so I could do that. I got 600ft because I wasn't sure how many inches I cut off to make each coil. I use some 30g rebuilding heads for the wife's PT's and I already had 300ft of that in the box. I won't need that much.

Probably got more than I need. In any case I really don't expect to make it to 90 and still be making coils.

Wire, especially stainless steel, has many uses in the hobby industry and in retail flower shops. It will be around, imo. I build small MTL coils and one wrap from the spool could make two coils. Since I pull the end through a hole I drill in the spool to secure it, I waste a little on each recoil once I cut the ends after installing. Theoretically, I could make double the coils I do from a spool, but it would be a little more laborious installing coils with short legs.

Being in the hospital is not high stress? I was in the hospital for 3 days twice last summer. I've not smoked for 7 years, vaping since. I brought my vapes with me because I have to vape once an hour or I might stab someone with a fork. Drug my IV pole right in to the rest room, closed the door, and vaped.

Oh no doubt being in the hospital is stressful, but as a general rule I think most people have less of that need to vape the same way we needed smoking..

I would buy cigarettes before food back in the day, and I never felt the same about vaping after I'd been vaping for a while.

But we all are different as a general rule.. It's not a hard and fast rule perhaps, I just expect most of us don't feel the same about vaping as we did about cigarettes..

The addiction with cigarettes was far far far different for me. Now when my doctor says I need to go without vaping for a short time I can manage it, something that couldn't have been said by me about cigarettes - ever.

Although, like the poster said he has other factors at play, so he may not end up with the more relaxed feeling with vaping that many of us come to enjoy.

I don't think I'm as hooked on vaping as I was smoking but it's actually hard to say. I'm a pretty anxious person, and the hand-to-mouth thing is what I'm mostly hooked on. Nervous habit more or less. I use 2mg nic or even 1mg sometimes - rarely above 2mg. In the few times where I've had to go a while without vaping, I do get pretty anxious/irritable. Then when I finally vape, I get a nic buzz (which I generally don't experience when vaping). Thing is, I vape a lot - all day long. The longest I've gone without vaping in the past few years was maybe 8 hours due to a plane flight. And it didn't bother me much, but I felt 'relieved' when I landed and had a vape.

I'm about the same as Sloth.

When I've had to not vape nicotine for a handful of days here or there, I make a batch of my all day vape in zero nic. Being at 2mg nowadays, I find going to 0 for a couple days very doable, though once clear I do return to my 2mg mix.

I'll cut my mg to 1.6 or 1.4 over the next couple of months, 0.2mg steps, stay at that level for a fairly long time.

I really like my all day vape, and I enjoy a minor nic stimulant.

How long ago did you quit smoking?

After you've been vaping a couple year's the feeling of "oh my God I'm going to kill someone if I don't take a drag" goes away..

I just spent the last year and a half without any nicotine at all, and vaping under a ml a week..

You get to where you can take it or leave it unless your under high stress..
I have never heard that before.... It never went away for me and I switched to vaping like 12 years ago.... Anything past 1 hour without my vape and I am completely bouncing off the walls with anxiety...

Two hours is about my limit. I don't get anxiety; I get lethargic, sleepy, or just generally cranky depending on the circumstances.

If know I'm going to be spending time someplace I can't vape, something which is quite rare, nicotine gum is my friend.
