So my favorite supplier of juice doesn't have my favorite flavor...peppermint. Email was quickly dispatched, and I'm awaiting the response to see if this is only temporary or what.

So I'm looking for a good mint flavor. It's got to have that cooling sensation when you vape it, like you just ate a mint, or are chewing on a stick of doublemint. What gives it that cooling sensation anyway? Menthol crystals? Something else? I've tried other mint flavors that don't have it, and I'm not a fan.

I'm not particularly partial to peppermint, but I've had some bad experiences with spearmint and regular mint.

Any good suggestions? I'm thinking about trying out a menthol, even though I really haven't liked many of the tobacco flavors I've tried since I started vaping, and I never really liked menthol analogs. I may also have to look to a new supplier, which is too bad, because I really like Viking's juice, and the customer service is top notch.

"Peppermint has a high menthol content, and is often used as tea and for flavouring ice cream, confectionery, chewing gum, and toothpaste. The oil also contains menthone and menthyl esters, particularly menthyl acetate.[10] It is the oldest and most popular flavour of mint-flavoured confectionery."~wiki

"Menthyl acetate is a natural monoterpene which contributes to the smell and flavor of peppermint. It is the acetate ester of menthol. Menthyl acetate constitutes 3-5% of the volatile oil of mentha piperita"~wiki

hope that helps, was just a wiki search on peppermint.
