As a flashlight modder, the standard for lubricating coarse threads is Nyogel 779ZC.
Allright, for years Ive never thought I needed any sort of grease for my mechs, but I do have one that squeaks and that one is the only one that I notice a drop in performance... It seems there is a correlation. A friend gave me a little jar of Nyogel 760G. Is the the right one for use on my GP X mech? Do I use it on the threads only? or do I actually put it on all contacts such as 510 top contact and on battery contacts?
Ive never done this, so I dont want to cause a problem trying to solve a problem. The GP X has a very unique button/ switch and I worry about the threads and some of the parts that move. I can see slight surface wear and dont want the threads to wear.
