I like to use a can of moisture free compressed air to blow it out from the threaded side of the 501. I just kind of hold the two together and blast it a couple times.

On the 801's I actually removed the guts from a battery, cut it in half leaving the threads along with about an inch of battery casing, then inserted a mouth piece into the new opening with the tube from the compressed air can forced into the mouthpiece hole. This makes a nice tight seal and when it's threaded to an atomizer it blows out everything. 501 can't do this but the canned air still works great for me.

I have considered doing this, but most of the canned air that I've seen contains a bitterant to keep people from huffing it. Wouldn't this leave a nasty taste on the atomizer? Or have you been able to find one without this "safeguard?"

I feel that's a moot point.. noone needs to use compressed air to blow out atties.... and blowing out an atty with too much pressure ..will cause you to run a risk of breaking the atty's element rendering it useless...

so even if it was 100% hospital grade air.. with no contaminants of ANY kind YOU SHOULD NOT USE IT>>

but this is only my opinion.. and maybe it won't happen to you, but the more people that read this..they'll start thinking they could and that this is a good practice to do...

happy vaping

Just make sure that you aren't removing any of the wicking material. It's designed to deliver juice to the coil. Compare another atomizer to the one with the fibers you want to remove before cleaning it out. There is a wick that sticks out of the center of the bridge and a couple of fiber strings on each side of the pot that contains the coil.
