Parallel Battery Holder - 1 or 2 cells?

I was wondering something...

I'm gathering parts to build a Vamo V5 based box mod and I had initially planned to running it with dual 18650s wired in parallel. My question is this: Since the battery holder is wired in parallel, the mod should operate whether it has one or both of the batteries, right?

I know that my battery life would be extended with 2 18650 cells run parallel but the power would stay the same, right?

I've never had a battery mod and I never realized just how much 4 batteries would actually run.

yes, it should run, just make sure you never put a full battery in there with an empty one, always make sure they are at a similar charge (eg full) before you hook them up

Thanks TheBoo. And thanks for the reminder about using pairs. My chips finally came in from FT today. Batteries are the last thing I need. Well, 510 connectors but they're only a few bucks. Getting excited now.
