So I recieved it this morning and a few issues maybe user error.....

It has fired a few times scrolling through menu, nothing outrageous but I've heard it fire for about 3 seconds a few times when scrolling through options. Could be that I'm pressing too much or too fast or too slow.

It's also cut off my draw a few times...light goes out and you have to release and depress. No biggie as it's done this 3 times or so out of the 500 draws i've taken from it so far.

Will keep this updated if anyone cares, or ya'll users can let me know if this is a normal experience. On any other device I wouldn't care but for $200 you want to know you're not hallucinating.

I noticed mine doing the same thing today. I think its all normal. The handbook says the Provari is supposed to fire when using certain menu features, such as the ohm checker. The Provari shouldn't be firing when your checking the ohm or the battery.

Good to know. I'm not really worried knowing that provape would handle it regardless. That's what I paid $200 for more than anything, peace of mind.

Can someone tell me what your battery reads when the light starts blinking? I'm not sure if I have a bum charger but the light on charger was green (18650) and the warning light on the provari is blinking now after 3 hours of use. Battery is reading 3.4 on the device. I just got everything this morning so something is off here, an old 1100 mah ego would last me all day.

I meant to right SHOULD be firing when checking the ohm or the battery. Ugh. My hands jump ahead of my mind when I'm typing quickly, I apologize! haha. Yeah your 18650 battery should be lasting at least all day if your using it around 4-5 volts. 3.4 is basically dead. If your charger light is green when you put the battery in, you need to finesse the battery a bit until it turns red. If jiggling the battery around doesn't work, check to see if its making a connection on both ends. If its not, you can try gently bending the metal tab a teensy bit closer to the battery.

But yes, it should be firing when checking the ohm or the battery.

My 18650 batteries start blinking at 3.5v. They come off the Pila charger reading 4.2v.

The battery does in fact fire with checking the battery voltage and checking ohm. "Testing under load" is the term.

I replace my battery once a day. The Provari is the only PV I'm currently using. I would describe my vaping frequency as moderate.

Thanks to all, I believe I just didnt charge the first batt enough. The other one on the charger for 4 hours is green as grass no matter how much I spin it. I did remove and reinsert the original batt when it started blinking and I'm 3 hours strong since I did that, no flashy. They probably need a good long full charge when coming from the factory.

1st charge battery life is usually bad. You should get better usage hours on subsequent charges. Battery cells need to "wake up" when it is new.

um... since the provari takes so many different sized batteries I think the key element to consider when comparing how long your freshly charged battery works is to consider what sized battery you are using/talking about since bigger batteries run longer than smaller ones. The other thing to consider is how many volts you are running it at (& hence what resistance the atty you're using) as this is indicative of how hard you're working the battery which will obviously be another contributing factor to how long a freshly charged battery will last.

That said simply saying 'my charged batts last me' however long vs somebody else who might say theirs lasts far longer or shorter than that doesn't really give enough info to allow any idea of why differences may exist & one cannot use such vague differences to assume their device or batteries are not performing properly.

When I'm running a low res atty (1.5ohm) I run my Provari at 4.2-ish & at that many volts a:
18350 will last me 3+ hours of heavy vaping
18490 will last me 4-6+ hours of heavy vaping
18650 " " about 8+ or so " "

When using a more standard ohm'd atty at 2.5ohms I keep my voltage around 4.5-4.70ish. Because I run the volts a bit higher it drains the battery a bit faster. Similarly, if I used a high volt atty (I don't know why anyone would because,) you will have to run your provari much higher, perhaps around 6v and that would rip through your battery life much faster.

Also, I think somebody else mentioned this, when testing the battery life & ohms of atty resistance the provari does this by running a very low current through it to test it under load which is why when you run those setting you might hear the atty being activated or hissing for a second or two. Its not a problem, just performing exactly how its supposed to.

Hope this helps.

Oh, also, I only ever use AW IMR batteries in my vaping devices. Other batts like LiFePO4 & protected Li-ions are also safe & doable especially since the provari has circuitry/chips to prevent batteries from over-draining/discharging which can lead to combustion/flames water wont put out. High drain batteries, like the AW IMRs, are best suited for application in vaping devices and have safe chemistry and are #1 in my book. I wont use anything else.

I use the AW 18350s in my Provari mini and they last me a good chunk of the day. Almost toward bedtime at or around 4 volts. But right now I'm using a 2ohm carto (it was supposed to be 1.5 but its reading 2) with 6 to 10mg juice in a tank at 5 to 5.5 volts and the battery is getting all sucked up pretty fast. I didn't know you could use 5.5 volts on a 2 ohm carto until I got my Provari lol. apparently you can as long as the mg is low and the juice is flowing well.

the V2 provari can stretch the limits of what carto you can put on it now now with its higher amp rating,

i can and have used 1.2 cartos at 4.2 volts no problem, but that is too dam much heat for the juice

yeah its doing well. I might like it more than my vivi novas honestly... I might have to bulk buy some XL cartos now lol. SOAB!!! honestly? Using this 2 ohm carto at 5.2-5.5 volts has been fantastic. I can take shorter drags and get the same amount of vapor as taking the long drags with the recommended volts to ohms match up for 2 ohm cartos. And I'm getting fantastic throat hit with 6mg juice? Thats unbelievable haha. I must be vaping up a whole lot more juice than I would at a lower voltage which is allowing me to get more nicotine per hit. I'd probably get sick using my normal 12mg juice at 5.5v in a 2ohm carto, but the 6mg juice is working great.
