Ok... radar's for both areas ( since no one covers them both well enough )...

Green triangles indicate radar detected hail ( all currently 0.25" or less )
White lines with the tick marks on them... show storm cell direction for an hour ( each tick mark is 15m )
If there were severe warned areas, it'd be within a yellow outlined box area... tornado warned would be red

The arrowed circles, indicate areas of rotation but doesn't indicate a tornadic type... just the cell has some rotation in it... speed of rotation is sort of indicted going from the slower yellow, to orange to red .... There are several in Moonies area but not up closer to Aggie

The strength of the storms down in FL have diminished quite a bit... almost all of the storms towards Moonie have lost their meso ( rotational ) signatures on them, currently only a couple are left west of him. There are only a couple of hail icons left as well. Lightning hasn't stopped but the frequency has diminished also.

I'll still keep the radar going... just to keep an eye on it

Today, unlike most of the rest of this month... was a hopping day at work. So much so I only vaped about 1/2 ( or less ) of the Theorem tank... barely used the battery up... seemed just as I'd finish up one job, I'd get another coming in... all in all a good day for business...

One of those clients also vapes and had noticed that I did as well... it sounded like he'd been using cig-alikes and eGo style batteries for the most part. He mentioned how unsatisfying those were but more importantly... the flavor was just not what he was looking for.

I had some of Yimmie's Our RY4 loaded up... he seemed pretty impressed with it. I also went through the short training course on just about everything vape related ... just touching on most of the aspects. I then proceeded to give him the link to MVJ also the name of Our RY4 on it but told him to take the time to look through all of the tobacco extractions ( NET's ) that Yimmie carried. Hopefully that will send another her way... :)

I also found I had another couple of senior moments... first was forgetting to take the trash bin to the curb.... but the important one was forgetting to set my battery charger to the 1a setting... so yesterday's battery recharging was all done at 0.25a .... no wonder it was taking way too long... :D

Good on ya for educating someone else. The more the better. Plus it's helping him.
I'm very aware of the writing on the wall, but a part of me still feels we haven't yet seen how this will all play out, or what the endgame will be. Kudos to ya for helping someone get there too:)

What are the drawbacks (if any) of upping the rate? I'm usually at 0.25a, just cause i'm around most of the time. But...a quicker charge would be nice...

Up to 1C, no real drawbacks. 0.7 C is usually the OEM spec
C being the battery capacity sans the hr.
So a 1C rate for a 1200mAhr battery would be 1200mA or 1.2A.
0.7C rate would be 840mA.

For a 2000mAhr battery 1C=2A and 0.7C=1.4A

I'm surprised anyone would be charging at 250mA. Even little eGo USB chargers are 420mA.

Nice to know, clearly put! I'll be upping mine tomorrow.

Too add to what ST said a little...

I charge 14500, 18490 and 18650 cells.... the 14500's are probably something like 650mah and my 18650's are between 2100mah up to 2500mah ( I may still have an old protected 3000-3100mah laying around also but not sure where )...

Rule of thumb when you don't know a battery's actual recommended charge C rating... it is usually safe to use 0.5C ... newer batteries can have much higher C ratings so check the specs to see what they are capable of so you can select the best rate.

If you are using a LiPo cell... it may be capable of up to 8-10C in some cases... again, it's still recommended to go by the spec recommendations since each cell's chemistry differs and usually cheap ones don't allow charging as quickly as a quality cell can. Most of the cells we use in vape gear aren't LiPo but there are some out there that are.

On my 14500's... the 0.25a is just about perfect.... the 18650's can easily handle a 1a charge so I usually use that setting.

I haven't seen a data sheet below 0.7C in years (if ever). That would be going back to RC vehicles and early Li packs for consumers.

Sure 0.5C would always be safe, but I'm comfortable with 0.7C for any Li cell. If I know it's a modern cell (5 yrs?) 1C would would not concern me.

But, as you hinted, even 1C is unlikely with most modern 18650 cells and most chargers. Given current capacities (2Ahr+) few chargers can hit 1C (2A+), and most Don't even get 0.5C (1A).

OK, so, as of today, got 2250ml 24mg nic (and more coming), new order delivered from Yimmie, mods, parts, coils, wicks aplenty. Asinine govt ain't gonna take away what's saved me from BT's horny old claws. Don't know where this will all end up, but I'm more than convinced that if we all stick together we can weather it and MAYBE effect a different outcome. Most important is that we all fight this together. ECF alone is almost 1/4 million members, and there's more out there. But then, I'm preaching to the choir:D
