Thank you RD, but what I need is a calculator with my preferred PG/VG input option. On ELC it gives me a recipe including how much PG/VG to add. That's why I stopped using that. What I'm looking for is something that gives me option to input that as already there. Not explaining myself well. I KNOW there's an easy solution to it.

Ok... when I go there... the recipe is sort of blank... it does have some defaults like the PG/VG ratios start at 50/50 and stuff... but I replace those....

Let me get a few screen shots of the starting point I see... then the changes using the numbers you just gave etc...

PS... I've got storms here... so if I don't get back... I may have lost power

Ok... didn't take as long as I thought...

The calc I'm using is called "E-Liquid Recipe Calculator - Ten Flavors (Allows Flavors With Nicotine) Plus PG/VG Adjusting" on the page that links to it... but they have a longer name on the page itself ( which I'll not copy here for now )

That page ( or the portion I screen capped ) looks like this.. it has some starting point number and how many drops per ml etc already there

StartingPoint.JPG

Then in this case, I filled out the highlighted areas and clicked the calc button below to get the results seen on the bottom... which is the recipe itself given in either ml , percentages or drops which ever you prefer

Finished.JPG

... now if that isn't still what you want... I'm certainly not getting what you were asking then...

Yeah, I'm missing this. Here's what I mean, in your screen cap it shows 7.2ml nic and then the PG/VG added to that. That's what I'm, saying, the PG/VG is already mixed in to the base. So if I added the 6ml flavor it calls for I'd end up with 13.2 ml of liquid. WHY can't I wrap my head around this???

OK, gots ta sleep on this some. I know what I want but I think I'm not articulating it too well. But, it IS late.

RD, I thank you for your input/help, I'll be going over it all again tomorrow. I'm pretty sure it's just a case of me missing something.
Wouldn't be the first time:D

Because I think you are overlooking that you need to also add more straight PG and more straight VG to the mix to get to the ratio's you want.. that is the other 16.8ml you are missing. You can't get there just using the NIC base and flavoring alone

Oh...
So even though this is already 75/25 mixed I still have to buy and add PG/VG? That's weird. If that's the case why buy it with aPG/VG mix at all?

Ok... let's ignore that you are adding ANY flavor at all... and let's forget the percentages of PG/VG so you are just thinking about the NIC

To dilute down the 100mg base that you have to 24mg ... you need to add 76% more of straight juice ( of a 30ml bottle it'd be 22.8ml ... of a 100ml bottle it'd be 76ml )

Now adding the PG/VG ratio back into it... since your NIC base is 75PG/25VG .... the straight juice you add into it would have to be heavier on the VG to make up the additional 5% to the VG side ( I'm not going to calc the exact here since you only need to get the idea straight )

Finally adding flavoring into it... again unless your flavoring is already a 70PG/30VG mix... you'd need to again adjust the straight juice ratios to take that into account

I missed that part...

I don't buy my NIC in a mixed ratio ( usually )... I prefer a high VG mix ( 30PG/70VG ) so I get 100% VG as a NIC base juice... if you are going to be PG heavy, then a 100% PG NIC base juice makes more sense.

Ok... I'm out of here... I've got an early appt with a client in the morning ...

but one more thing.... if you always use 20% flavoring that is 100% PG

Using your existing 100mg 75PG/25VG NIC base and some more PG and VG juice. Then premix a batch of 30mg 62.5PG/37.5VG NIC base ... Now when you want to make up a batch of anything, you add 20% flavoring to a portion of the premix you made... it will always come out as 70PG/30VG at 24mg

Good Morning Everyone

Hey j, although RDS has helped you a lot here is what i do

i tend to vape at about 30/70 pg/vg 10 or 12mg
I buy 100mg, i've bought different ratios of pg/vg
I then cut it to 50mg usually about 50/50
then i use this calculator
DIY E-liquid
there are many calculators out there, do the Google and pick the one you like and feel comfortable using
