pass through reboot

Anyone have problems with their passthrough not working at times? It seems i have to reboot mine from time to time now. It will quit and I have to unplug and replug then it works fine again for a few pulls. Then I have to do it again. It may be a coincidence but it seems it has started this since I used it in my car with my usb car plug.

If you have more than one USB port on your 'puter, try a different one, preferably one thats on a different circuit.(not right next to the other one)

Or try it on a completely different computer. This will narrow down the problem to your USB port, or the passthrough itself.

if its an auto switch passthru (no manual button), the switch may be sticking. next time it stops working, try gently blowing into the device and then draw. if this works, you have a switch problem.

ok, i just tested the switch by removing my cart and blowing into the passthrough. It began working then. Guess I have a switch going bad. Sucks cause I only have had it a week or two. Guess I'll have to order another this week.

If you've confirmed that the problem is the passthrough, don't order another, just report the problem and you'll have a replacement in no time.

I think mine is done too. I blew on it, and I took a drag, it worked, but just ran till the cutoff, then was dead again. I could do this over and over, but who wants to do that...

Just note it on your next order! Steve wants you to be happy. I have had really good luck with mine so far, but these things are mass produced in China, so there are bound to be duds mixed in with the jewels! Thankfully Steve understands that and compensates for it!

Jen whether Steve replaced or not...I'm very happy with the product and service. His service is very appreciated! I've been a technician all my life and understand that machines break at times and no manufacturer can be perfect all the time.
