Pass through v. 5 volt PV

Has anyone noticed a difference in the taste of their e-liquid when using it on a 5v pass through as opposed to a 5v pv?

I have a VP-PT pass through and tried a flavor on it that tasted kind of blah but wen I tried it on my GLV it tasted better.

My pt is running an 801 and my GLV is running a 510

Your answers are appreciated.

I think thats a difference in atty not the pass through. A 510 gets hotter. I would have thought it would be the other way around. Better taste with the 801. That's why I only use 801 cause they don't get as hot and to me make any juice taste better.

i use the exact same 2 pv's and can't tell a differance between the 2, i use the same attys on both though

Thats the best answer you'll get. 5v is 5v. The atty makes all the difference. Different restistences change the wattage.

I just changed the atty to a 510 and now I can taste the flavor.

Depending on the 510 atty most are 2.2-2.3 ohms ( Joye ) and most 801's are around 3 ohms +, so the power is lower on the 801 at the same voltage.

my 510s love my 5v PT but my 901 attys hate it - the flavor isn't great on the 901 at that high a heat but the 510s thrive on it.

Yep - the 901 sucks on high volt but on USB power I actually prefer it to the 510!
