I wanted to get the hubby a pass through he through batts fast (the xl batts). I read on here somewhere they're bad on pcs and car chargers and I remember it being said that there was something else you needed to run them without tearing anything up.

I was wondering if anyone could advise me. I'd like him to be able to use it here and if possible also on long road trips...

Thanks in advance

There's no problem on car chargers but it's advised not to use on a pc in case there's a short - a wall plug or a car plug that is rated at least 1amp output is good but if you have a KR8 PT then I think they require 2 amps. The last should be available at V4L and if for a 510 or other model you can get them at various places - cignot.com, madvapes, liberty flights to name a few.

Just to add to Kent C's good advice, computer ports are generally not rated to be able to handle the current draw of PTs...most are 500 mA or less. I have fried several ports, and even some cheaper USB cables with PTs of various types. I got my external AC/5V-USB converter from radioshack for about $20, and it is rated to 2.5 amps.
