so ive had a passthrough for awhile but stopped using it because it made my laptop shut down one day and it killed the passthrough so i sent it in for replacement and have had this one sitting arround for awhile only used it a couple times, but i just ordered a 2 amp wall adapter from madvapes so i can actualy start using it i was wondering if it would be a problem to just leave it plugged in all the time? it's a direct current kr8 no battery and was mainly wanting to just leave it plugged in over night so its ready and easy in the morning, that and if i don't have to unplug it its just easier to use throughout the day

lol gotta love mixed reviews. think I'll just go with it plugged in and carto off though mostly worried about killing the passthrough. can't wait to try a dual coil carto on it :)

I am prolly wrong, but I think I remember someone stating that you had to have like 2.38 amps to push a dual coil.

5 volts at 1.5 ohms is 3.33 amps. But, even though the passthrough is going to be limited to the two amps the wall wart can produce, it will probably fire them up. YMMV depending on the device. It might think there's a short and kick off.

There are 2.0 and 2.5 ohm dual coils now. A 2.5 ohm at 5.0v is exactly 2 amps. I'm of the feeling that the higher ohm DCs have been made just for amp limited devices.

Nhaler has had them for sale, but currently out of stock. There might be others. They are Smoke Tech just like the 1.5 and 1.25 ohm. - I don't have any real need for higher ohm ones, but I might try the 1.25's to see how they act on my 3.7v stuff. I'm pretty fond of the 1.5's at 5.0v though.

there is a thread in the e-cig reviews section where there might be more info on the higher ohm dual coils in the next couple of days. I think a couple of people ordered them and will certainly give their opinions.
