I have two manual v4L passthroughs and one auto-passthrough also from v4L. All three have seemed to give up on me (sad face!)

Any tips or tricks to try and diagnose why all three would just 'stop working' would be much appreciated.

What I have tried:
Adjusting the post hairs at a time on all three p/ts.
Adjusting the post on my carto as well.
Using a different carto.
Using a different USB hub/port/wall wart.
Cleaned the connections with alcohol and a qtip.

I am really having a rough time relying on only batteries during the day.

Thanks in advance for your time!

I am not sure if you refill , but I do, and I had the same problem. Both on manual and auto. I soaked my auto in rubbing alcohol for about 10 min just past the logo, then did the taryn spin to dry. It works great now. I am trying my manual as I type. I would make sure you are out of warranty before trying, so you know you have nothing to lose.
I hope this helps, it worked for me.

Hard to find a wall these days without a wart or two.

A "wall-wart" is any of the annoying transformers that are self-contained. I say "annoying" 'cause they generally block a bunch of sockets on a typical power strip. Any of the power supplies that don't have an AC cord, but plug straight into the wall socket, "growing off the wall[plug] like a big wart"

Sadly, yes all three seem to have just stopped working around the same time. Talk about frustrations LOL

One is manual about a year old as of this month I believe. I wasn't so sad about that one going kaput. But the other two are from November/December 2010... not so old. If that's how long they are supposed to last, then maybe I just got lucky with the first one. I'll open a ticket and see what V4L has to say :)

Thanks so much for the replies.

Also, Wall Wart... yeah pain in the .... but, saves me from accidentally breaking my computer's usb port from overuse. I'd rather pay the 10 bucks to replace a wall USB adapter than have to replace the one in the computer!

Thanks again!

You already wiped the connections with alcohol. Did you try to clean out any gunk from the 3 air-holes on the pass-through with a toothpick?
Do you have a car adapter you can try to use the pass-through with?

I did clean the air holes with a toothpick, and then tweezers to retrieve the tiny toothpick bits.

None of my passthroughs work with my car adapter, sadly. But I have tried them in several different types of USB ports. Wall/Computer/Laptop/Hub's computer... Thanks!
