Thanks for stopping by Snow, but now I am sure I must be doing so many things wrong! I've switched cartos between my shorties (diamond & standard) and PT. Car in garage overnight but can be in elements for a couple of hours when out & about. Wah, I am so sure my PT will fail now.

katz, you are not doing a single thing wrong and neither is dfresh.....your PT is not going to fail....everything is just fine!

I've been through three T's since Nov 4th 2010. I am at home all the time and use it all day everyday, so I get a lot of use out of them. I have found that, IMO, the manuals last longer and each PT has it's own mind as far as lifespan, there's no typical lifespan that I can nail down. One might last 3 months, another 1 month. (when I was new I thought it was going to be a one time purchase and expected it to last forever, my first one lasted one day and was replaced by V4L).

:)

I ordered 2 PTs....one I killed (forgot I was attached and ended up pulling all the wires loose LOL) and the other stayed on all the time. After a few emails with V4L, they sent me a replacement. Unfortunately they sent me an auto bat. I emailed back that I would ship them back, and promptly forgot. They didn't send a replacement yet either....so now I think I am going to keep the bat and just order a couple PTs :)

Am I upset? Not at all. I didn't order an auto bat before and now I lurrrrrve it :)

So you asked all those questions just to scare us???

Most of them have developed shorts where the wire meets the usb plug. This failure can be attributed to rough handling.
Oops! So I should stop twirling it around in between puffs while I wait at traffic lights? Sigh. It's all so complicated.
