Paypal USA has always had a problem with vaping but (till now I guess) it was more the juice. You can use Paypal for e.g. fasttech and English juice orders. They've just always been :censored:heads in the States. Basically sounds like Paypal was bought out because of that useless prat Icahn on the (EBay) BoD who probably just wants to kill it dead and appears to be succeeding from the little I've read so far.

Actually it looks like it's started to hit fasttech.

The 'paypal' button that used to appear at the checkout at fasttech has been replace by a 'bitcoin' button.

STAFF: No more paypal option at checkout: FastTech Forums

An update. I have just placed an order with Fasttech that included two drippers. Paypal was not an option when checking out. I am now going to place an order for some batteries and will let you know what happens. Hopefully - these last two purchases will be my last in hardware for a long time to come.

Edit:

Noel (Staff): Sorry that due to the systematic error, paypal is not working temporarily
Noel (Staff): We are now fixing it and please wait

No I am not going to close my account with PP I use it for too many things, love the convenience and have never had any issues with them. I can block calls with the best of them along with spam text messages too, I don't see it as a big deal....well yet anyways. I am a little confused though about being able to not able to buy vaping supplies with PP as there is tons of it (excluding ejuice) for sale on ebay and you can definitely use PP to buy it, same with quite a few different online private ecig businesses that have PP as a payment option not to mention I use my PP debit to buy what ever I want including ejuice and never had a problem?

I prefer human marketers. I curse at them until they remove my name form their lists.
I cannot stand robo calls. I don't even like answering machines or voice mails. If I called your phone and get directed to a voice mail, I simply hang up.
I have used PayPal, and have never been impressed with them. I find their website(s) complicated and a real hassle simply to pay what you owe them from one account to another. I really won't miss their so called services.
But then again, I'm the guy who misses Rotary Phones and Ma Bell. Cash used to be currency, now numbers are. I'm like Tim McGraw; I miss back when.

I am not in the US and the Nautilus stuff I bought and which Paypal refused to handle was off Fasttech. I have had no problems ordering any other vape related items using Paypal. It is just "Nautilus" they seem to have a problem with... at least so far. Also I still use Paypal for any eBay purchases.

It's something to do with the way the transaction is processed through FT's website.

There is an easy and known workaround for this. Just order the items (that you know can be processed normally) totaling up to the value of the item you wish to buy, place the order and then immediately cancel it. Choose refund me with gift card balance. Then you can use the gift card balance to buy whatever the 'prohibited' item was.

It sounds like a hassle, but the whole process will literally only take a minute or two.

PayPal

Well I found this...

<<<Pre-approval required to use PayPal for the sale of certain services
You are required to contact us and obtain our approval to use PayPal to accept payments for the sale of certain goods and services, including non-cigarette tobacco products, e-cigarettes ...>>>

I closed my account with them. I guess that means I will lose my verified member status. I read their terms closely. I am just not gonna do that. I have had an account with them for a very long time, probably just about from the very start of Pay Pal. They of course asked why, and I told them.

YES....I can verify this!

I live in W.Europe and for the past six months at least have been unable to buy any Aspire Nautilus items ( Nautilus itself, replacement coils, replacement glass tanks etc.) from FT paying thru PP.Have to try to get around the restriction by first purchasing" FT Gift cards" with PP then using the giftcards towards those purchases...(a real pain as it requires separate orders etc.) So FAR havent had any probs with other brands such as Kanger,Eleaf, Sigelei....

That's right. It is just the word Nautilus that triggers Paypal. I don't know - they might actually have a problem with that particular company.

So @cllmda, seeing you are in France, are you panic buying and stocking up like me? I am in Malta BTW and now I think I'm all set for a number of years ahead. Is France contemplating any high taxes like Italy? So far here there have been no moves from the government but then here only very few people vape. It's not very popular.

Funny you should say that. We have been getting daily calls from someone with an East Indian accent saying he is from our Micro computer shop and we have something wrong with our computer. Of course he is a fraudster. When my husband gets to answer he just freezes and then runs to turn off his computer. LOL. When I got him the first time I told him to shut up and go away and hung up. But today I was really prepared for him since he usually always calls at around the same time.

So I pick up the phone and it's him again. Calmly I say: You have just reached the Malta Police Headquarters. If you would like to continue in English press 1. If you wish to continue in Maltese press 2. For reasons of quality and security this phone call is being re..... He didn't let me finish - he hung up from his end. :D

The wife and I use landlines for normal daily activities.

We only use our cellphones to talk to people in our address books.
Which is basically only family, friends, and work.

We set such people up with the same ring tone.
Any other ring tone is ignored completely.

WE DO NOT TEXT.

We never answer our landlines unless they are caller identified and we know them.
Otherwise we'll MAYBE answer once they start leaving a message.

We also eat raw meat, having never discovered fire.
That's just how we roll.
:)

ever hear of Google voice.they will provide a free phone number that pay-pal accepts. I had my card information stolen once when when I used it at home depot. my bank caught it and refused payment but this has happened at several major stores. it is impossible to protect you personal information nowadays but banks do monitor activity and block unusual transactions.I use Google phone for all transactions than just tag calls and messages as spam. the pay pal TOS does not seem that bad to me.they list the reasons for calling you and they seem appropriate
