OK, just received the following from Paypal:

Dear Sharon XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting PayPal.

Currently, the sale of electronic cigarettes is not a violation of our
Acceptable Use Policy Department for US accounts. There are other
countries whose laws are more strict. For those countries, we are not
allowing the sale of these cigarettes.

At this time, we have no immediate plans of changing our policy.
However, please keep in mind that our policy does change and it is
always best to check with us before you begin to sell certain items that
we may consider violating.

We are all nervous. It is best that we try (ha ha) to keep a level head...that's why I have ordered soooo much. My budget is busted.

You and me both! I've ordered an additional 50 atomizers this week alone! I was thinking about ordering another 20 to 40 for the other e-cig I have coming and am holding off for a bit, that's a first for me, but WOW the money I've spent. Still I'm glad I've got a decent stash!

Careful about the pre-paid cards, check with your bank to see if they offer such a credit/debit card you can use online. If so that is the way to go, but watch very carefully ALL of your transactions. Some of the prepaid cards charge for deposits, monthly service fees, ATM withdrawals, and everything else they can render unto Ceasar, work with your bank first if you can.
I just did a PayPal transaction with My Vapor Store, went through without a hitch! Even got free shipping.

My own thoughts are that paypal got one too many complaints about JC.
No... you might want to check the new threads today... it is a fact that PayPal IS shutting down suppliers of ecigs and related products. TWO have been shut down TODAY and both were told that it's because of the products.

Just because your order last night went through doesn't mean it will tomorrow. They are slowly searching out suppliers and shutting them down and it's ramping up as they go. I'm betting you could have made an order last night from the two that were shut down today as well... but you can't now! It happens that fast and several suppliers in less than a week is NOT just a coincidence.

Before you sling mud at a supplier assuming it's because of complaints, you might want to pay attention to what is happening to other suppliers!

Sharon, if you do not mind answering, how may atty's do you have?

Well, I'm going to answer, but please know I'm not totally crazy, just a little eccentric, I can be that way can't I, I'm old.

When my next order comes in I'll have 165. YIKES, you did have to make me go count them didn't you?! :D

Perhaps since I'm old they'll last me a life time, what do you think?

Now, PLEASE don't ask me how much juice I have ;). Or batteries, or e-cig mod's, etc.:lol::lol::lol:

The internet sites that were selling cigarettes went through this same cycle. Slowly all electronic methods of payment became unavailable. Soon after all the cigarette sites just went away because they had no way to make electronic transactions. This is case of government tolerated discrimination, or government mandated. We will probably never know which. But it is discrimination pure and simple. I wonder what's next? What happened to freedom?

Oh goodness, I didn't know that you couldn't buy analogs off of the internet anymore. I hope that e-cigs also don't go the way of the DoDo.

My husband and I purchased cigarettes over the internet for years and years and years. Once we found the site we liked, we paid with an e-check. It wasn't any problem and worked well for us and the site. May be a way our suppliers will have to go. Time will tell.

You can still purchase them on the internet. I just went to the site we usually buy from and it has a section that says:

PACT Act
THE SITUATION: Right now there is legislation pending in the United States Senate - the Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking Act of 2009 (“PACT Act”) (S.1147) which contains, among other bad ideas, a provision to make ALL cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products nonmailable. This legislation has already been passed by the House of Representatives and is currently in a Senate Committee that could send it to the Senate floor at any time for a vote!

I didn't know they had gone that far.

Well, it's not really government tolerated discrimination. PayPal is a private company and has the right to deny service to anyone they choose. They are not obliged to give anyone access to their service. This is freedom, and it's a good thing.

We also have the freedom to not use PayPal and so do suppliers. They can choose a company who will allow them to process payments and that company will be rewarded with business for their more open policies.

PayPal isn't the only game out there and I have personally withdrawn any money I had in my PayPal account and won't use them for further transactions (at all) because of their attitude.

This is freedom.

Well when Visa and Mastercard exercise their freedom to deny payments to e-cig merchants, I guess that wont be discrimination. The deck seems to be stacked against us. E-check will be easy for them to stop as well.
