I have a friend who had an issue with Paypal a while back. He had over 20K in his account and Paypal would not release it for 180 days because of a discrepency over a $65 item !! Yes that is correct! They held over $20,000 until the issue over a $65 item was taken care of and it was going to take 6 months!! The logical thing to do is release all of the funds minus the $65 which is in dispute. Correct? Well Paypal will do anything they can to hold on to peoples money for as long as possible so they can profit from the interest. They have done this to thousands of people and could care less how it affects someone financially. The 20K my friend had in his account came from 3 large wholesale orders. One was 10K and the other 2 were 5K each. He spoke to the purchasers and explained that paypal was essentially extorting their money and asked them if he send a refund, sould they repay him via a check and they all agreed and kept true to their word. Now, this may be a hassle for people who sell e-cigs and liquid, especially if their accounts are frozen and there are a lot of orders stuck in space. However you could contact each buyer, explain the situation and see if they will work with you.

Just send them the following message: (change what you would like)

Dear Buyer,

You recently purchased an e-cig kit from us and we truly appreciate your business. We have a small issue to which we are hoping you will help us out with. Paypal has chosen to put a hold on our account and will not release our money for 180 days. We have done absolutely nothing wrong and being a small company, we will not survive financially without our money. We would like to ask you if we issue a refund to your credit card through Paypal, could you please send us a check after the refund goes through? The only thing we can do through Paypal is issue refunds and like I stated before, if we are stuck without our money for 6 months, we will be out of business. I understand that sending us a check via mail may be a hassle for you, but we would truly appreciate your help with this. Please let me know if you can help us out and upon hearing from you, we will proceed by issuing you a full refund, along with information as to where to mail us a check. In showing appreciation for this, we will offer you 10% off your next order.

Thank you so much for helping us!!

With regards,,

Most people are honest and if you provided them with good service, they will usually not have a problem in paying you. At least you get your money out of your Paypal account and into your wallet.

I hope this helps!!!

if someone lets paypal hold 20 grand because of a 65 dollar dispute they aint on the same planet as me.. i would just give the customer the 65 dollars..

principles are okay but some aint worth the hassle..

i did have paypal pay a customers money into my account a few weeks back then five days later reverse the payment and take it out again.. i think i was robbed but i aint gonna call in the law over over a principle... he he

someone did get a free f-cking screwdriver tho.. and its a good job it dosnt happen often (paypal tell you you have been paid crediting your account then take it back out days later at whim) else the entire point would be lost..

the reason they gave me this time was.. "bank account closed".. just three words is all it took for them help themselves to money from my account..

okay i dont like the ****ers.. but i am stuck with them.. it would cost me more money and time not to use them.. so i continue to..

I'm done with PP/ebay. Ebay used to be a place where you could get a good deal, and mostly auction. Now it is mostly "buy it now", not a great price, and a real hassle to return the item. Some don't even accept a return. And most of ebay now is dealers.
I am closing my PP account. I don't like the fact that they can actually tell you what to do with YOUR money. I am very angry about what they did to the suppliers here.

Of coarse the $65 that was in dispute was refunded, but even so Paypal at the time stated that they would not release the entire funds until they heard back from the buyer even though the refund was issued through Paypal as well !!! I know it absolutely makes no sense but that is what happened and Paypal is notorious for keeping many peoples money without merit for as long as they can.

OMG...

Hello E-CigaretteSales.com LLC,

We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully disputed chargeback case #PP-XXX-XXX-XXX. The buyer's card issuer has decided in your favor and within seven days you will receive reimbursement for $54.90 USD.

Dear Virginia...there is a Paypal Clause...

...of course, we closed E-CigaretteSales.com months ago, but hey it's nice to see they actually do sometimes rule in favor of the seller - who knew?
