I recently received my gun metal XL starter kit and one of the batteries is faulty meaning it wont take a charge. When looking at the centre post it looks as if it has been installed reversed because there is a long pin in the middle where you can only see the tip of it on the partially working battery. I have tried to charge the battery on my PCC only to find that now my PCC has stopped working properly. Now when you plug in a battery sometimes it wont flash or the PCC flashes indicating it is charged, although I know it's dead because when I plug it into the USB charger it charges as normal. Bear in mind the PCC is only a month old and the XL kit I got last week.

My theory is that because the centre post may have been installed in reverse that the polarity may have caused the issue with the PCC. I might be totally wrong and this all a very strage coincidence. What do you think and has this happened to you?

Ethereal.........What's up Mate! Indeed a spot of bad luck chap! In order for the connector to be installed in reverse so to speak the connector threads would have to be inside the battery and the pressed fitting (ribbed) would be on the outside. That is of course if I am understanding you correctly.

That being said, if you were to remove the battery connector, opposite the post, there is indeed a small tube where the battery wires are connected with a small white plastic washer at the base of the tube.

Is that what you are looking at? Possibly a manufacturing error with a reversed machined post?

Would love to see a picture of it!!!!!

Howdy Partners! OK here is the pic. The top batt is the faulty one with the long centre pin and has a very different post from the bottom one. Might be a bit bloody hard to see though but the best I could do old chap. :)

My word ol boy, those do look rather wonky....yet the bottom one works. Hmmmm have you tried raising the post on the non-working one and do you have another charger? Outside of that, that is certainly worthy of contacting C.S. Terrible run of bad luck dear boy, most regrettable.

How to raise the post:
