Nasty.

This exactly why it annoys the HELL out of me that everybody buys juice from the same 2 or 3 or 4 factories and sticks their own name on it. I want to KNOW what I'm buying.
Exactly for this reason. Royalsmokers publishes an ingredient list too, and it's PG based. I want that. E-CIG juice kills whatever you put it in. I don't want that. PEG wrecks your kidneys and does something weird to your cells. I'll pass on that too.

You shouldn't have to GUESS if Rookie Yook, oRangiYan, Rippie juice, etc etc etc is Royal Smokers RY4. And take your chances. With your equipment, or your life.

No store buys cases of Coca Cola and puts "Yippee Cola" on them. Because when you want to buy a Coke, you don't want to play "guess the contents". Stores don't do that. It's ridiculous.

And guess what, it is *OUR* fault for buying it, sight unseen, mystery contents, go ahead and let me stick that in my lungs. Whoops, there goes a kidney. OMG.

For a chemical that you are *ingesting* it is beyond reason for resellers to "relabel" this stuff as their own, and not provide documentation as to what it is. No other industry does this. And if nic-juice was an official food item, or pharma item, it would even be ILLEGAL every country I know of.

Here you go - challenge to resellers. TELL US WHAT YOU ARE SELLING US.

Repeat sales come from service, quality, and prices.... that's the magic formula.

Not by having the "coolest" name on your "top secret" juice. That's just wrong.

That's my opinion.... anybody agree?

Agreed we need to know what is in it but ALSO we need to know if what is in it is safe, things has to be done right and we need to stop hiding in the bushes fearing a massive ban when we are risking our lifes and manufacturers and suppliers are making money of it, hard but truth.

And please don't get me wrong the truth is that WE as consumers are guilty of this mess, I love e-cigarettes but a lot of things are being done the wrong way from all of us.

I know that this is currently unregulated by the FDA, and to be perfectly honest, maybe that's the problmem with Big Tobacco is the fact they do not have to disclose exactly what is in thier product. For example: Try buying a box of ceral, a can of corn, or any food item and look for an ingrediant list. Most times it's something simple. Corn, Salt, Water. Others, it's more complex. tetra-ethel-poly-nonoctobunal-3 and EDTA #4, Yellow Lake #5, etc. etc. You don't get that on analogs, and without that information, even though it's publicly available and public information, you have to DIG for it. This is a consious descision by the manufacturer. When the manufacturer is the supplier, it gives a double shot to the lack of care for customer's health. So I ask this: Give us a list. In this, the glorious internet age, we can look up for ourselves the exact harm that a list of ingrediants will do to us in any amount. If we do not, then it is OUR choice to disregard the health hazards. Make it OUR choice. Don't think you can read our minds and tell us it's safe when in fact it may not be. Make it safe. Make a list of what you have. If it's as safe as you say, I'll buy it. And use it. Repeatedly. /soapbox

Yet I've not heard anyone complain of health problems caused by it. Well that weren't attributable to other soda related health factors.

In fact when I first heard about the Electronic Cigarette I mistakenly thought that PG was Polyethylene Glycol. Which helped alleviate some of my concerns after all with as much Dr Pepper as I've imbibed over my life if PEG is that bad I'm screwed anyway.

hmm yeah some great points here. Particularly funny was the question brought up about nicotine concentration in eliquids. I use 36 mg Riskee Yuice. I assume they mean 36 mg/ml but don't really know. As a biologist I'd get fired if I was expressing concentration values of fluids without complete units.

As for PEG vs PG, my initial reaction to that is that PEG is a polymer- a very big molecule. The toxicity studies don't slam it much, but my personal opinion is that I'd rather be putting small molecules like PG in my body. Especially also because I know that PG is metabolized to lactic acid which is a compound my body makes anyway. Who knows how the body handles metabolizing long chain polymers?

good point.
i read in the german thread,(if i understood it correctly) that PEG mutates the cell so it can be absorbed.....even something about kidney failure...
..suddenly PG sounds very healthy to me...

Worried about PEG and weather it's healthy to inhale or not? Kinda funny when we knew for how long what's in a regular cigarette and didn't mind smoking that for years. Oh, here's the list and its a long one.
*List of cig. ingredients truncated*
What ever is in PG, VG or PEG it can't be as bad as what we're trying to quit here.

I knew what the effects of tobacco were, but I smoked it anyway because I enjoyed it. After many years I started developing side effects of inhaling smoke on a constant basis. I no longer felt it was worth it so I switched over to the e-cig. Much less immediate side-effects.

I also know that the list provided is only for additives in a cigarette. The additives themselves are relatively harmless since most of those ingredients are just fragrances and essential oils used in very small quantities. Many which are in the foods we eat as well in higher dosages. The large evil coorporate tobacco companies and their Monopoly guy-looking CEOs don't want to *off* their loyal customer base. They just want your monies. If they kill you, they kill profits and kill profits is bad for their pockets. The sheer ignorance, belief of propaganda is waaaaay more detremental to my mental health and hope in humanity than a fresh carton of Marlboros.

However it's true, there are things to fear in tobacco besides additives. The scary ones are the pesticides, curing agents, fertilizers, water, etc. and you may be shocked to find that the same **** you find in tobacco you find in higher concentrations in... yes your air, your tap water, pretty much anything you come in contact with. At least in moder metropolitan areas in first world countries some of this is regulated. In the US there are places that tap water is deemed unsafe to drink because of all the crap in it. But who knows what's ok to fly in China. "Essence of Tobacco", even "water" can be a concoction of lethal chemicals in high doses deemed safe by their version of the FDA. And when it comes down to extracting the nicotine from the tobacco for our ejuices, I don't know the process used, I don't know the purity of nicotine, I don't know even know if the workers use rubber gloves during the process. But I do not care, I'm just not that paranoid. Did you know there is Arsenic in your tap water? Do you know just how much Uranium you are exposed to on a daily basis? We can be paranoid all day long. First it was the TB, then polio, then AIDS, then now the big thing is cancer. I'm too tired to go running scared because there is a new public scare or ejuice is mostly antifreeze.

In all honesty if you are that concerned about ejuices and their effects used in our vapor devices it might be best to not smoke it until you find out what kind of ways the Chinese are using regarding farming and actual tobacco and tobacco laws. And not to be ****ing on China but I'm not entirely sure farming laws are even abided by... Then find out how the nicotine is extracted. Right now, this exact moment, PEG is the LEAST of your worries. Hint: I very much doubt resellers would ever know any of this kind of information, I doubt it even occured to them to find out so my 2 cents would be to go straight to the source.

At the end of the day, I am one that thinks smoking a bit of antifreeze with a shot Plutonium on the side won't hurt as much as unhealthy food habits. Sure drink a glass of antifreeze? Pretty quick liver failure followed by imminent death. But I don't know... I think I've smoked about a cup of PG, PEG, VG, whatever it was by now and my liver is still where it should be and hasn't turned green.:| knock on wood:|
