The premade i use:
Rebuildable Atomizer Coils - Avid Vaper
Its tightly wrapped with no spaces between.
I still am getting harsh hits and i have to just stop using it. I'll definitely look into the cotton its seems cheap and i'm planning to learn how to build them as soon as i go through the 5 pack of pre mades.

They want $4.99 for a five pack of pre-made wires, not including shipping. I used to buy a 5 pack of atomizers for that much back in the day. Sometimes even cheaper.

You could spend about 5 buck each for some R wire and NR wire and learn how to wrap coils yourself for a lot cheaper. I mean isn't that what a rebuildable atomizer is about? To save money?

Depending on where you buy wire (Ebay...etc.) you could spend about 10 dollars and get 50-100 feet of both wire.

Pure Nickel Wire Non Resistance Wire 34 AWG 100 Ft | eBay

Kanthal A1 Wire 32 Gauge 0 25oz Resistance Kanthal 32 AWG A 1 Resistor 100ft | eBay

The last link is for 32 gauge heating wire. A lot of people like this wire. But it all depends on your vaping style. Just remember...the lower the gauge (such as 30 or 28), the lower the ohms. The higher the gauge, means higher ohms.

The first hit i take is very good, then it slowly declines and by the 4 hit, its harsh and gross. It does sound like a wicking issue since it gets better when it sits for a little. which im thinking its soaking. This is so frustrating.

Those premade wicks ARE NOT MADE FOR AN ATOMIZER LIKE THE PENELOPE.

Sorry to yell, but I want to make sure you're clear on that point.

You need coils that are made up of resistance wire at the wick, with no-resistance wire legs. You're getting 'hot legs', which is why it tastes like crap. I haven't seen pre-made NR-R-NR wick assemblies, but some vendor might have them for sale.
