I use Boba's Bounty as my ADV. I was getting too gunked up coils, and they were not lasting me more that 3 days. What i used to do is keep the liquid control open for 1 turn the whole time. Now i figured to try a more conservative method so that the coil doesn't get flooded, and keep the liquid control closed all the way until i feel the scratchy feeling of a dried wick or when i am continuously vaping, this is when i open half turn. Yesterday i left the liquid control closed all the way down with a dried scratchy wick and left it overnight. When i woked up this morning I took a draw (liquid control was still closed) I realized that i got normal vapor. So my question here, is it possible for liquid to find its way to the coil although the liquid control is completely closed? Is there something wrong with my assembly? It is not like i feel gurgling or anything but i was surprised to get a normal vape and got curious about that.

the wicks on channels still gets juice from those threads on base. if the ring is not very tightly closed then even with the flow control closed juice will travel down. i use thick Vg juice and i have to make sure that the ceramic ring is tight. also a rule of thumb i try to dry up my wick with juice control closed before putting it away that way next morning i just used it on fly.

Well it seems the coil is getting too gunky anyways. I am having like a black charcoal ball that wouldn't budge. I tried your cleaning method didn't work. The dry burning was never able to clear up the gunk and I couldn't see any red wires. Any advice for that? All that after 2 tanks, flavor still fine though. Love ur vids btw.

I like to dry burn with higher voltage then I normaly vape at. So on my Penelope since it is on a vv device I normally turn the voltage all the way up for dry burns but try to use shorter power cycles. On my GGTS I typically throw a second battery in to up the voltages.

For the actual burns I have started using water before the burns so I take the mouthpiece and tank off and hold it under running hot water for 30 seconds to a minute. Then I pat it dry and put it on my device. I then normally need about a 15-20 second burn to burn off the water. After that I use 3-5 second burns while blowing on it constantly to blow off any ash. If this doesn't work I normally let it cool then hit it with a toothbrush and repeat.

This method may not be for all. I normally only get 1-2 dry burn sessions before I pop the coil and I dry burn every night. So normaly a coil lasts me 2-3 days. However normally after a day to 2 days of vaping I can't stand the flavor so I figgure if I am going to rebuild anyways may as well go all out to clean off the coil or kill it trying.

Nothing wrong , its capillary action causing this effect. I'm also a fan of AV juices myself although its a pain in most devices , I like to add a little deionized water to it to decrees its viscosity .

Ahhh. Another boba's bounty fan. I'll say that in a Penelope, I've succumbed to the fact that every other day I just have to recoil it when using boba's. however, I've since moved boba's to the ody, and it seems to hold up better. Granted now I'm using different wicking as well. But I decided something else belongs in that Penelope.
