Black, there is no real way for you to know without asking. I learned from reading your question. Keep posting, the people here are awesome and love to help.

Thanks huff. I wasn't complaining. I was just stating how amazed I was that I didn't know more than I did after so long being here and owning my GG ;)
I'm extremely happy anyway despite my ineptness. Hahahaha!!

you can use penelope with AD control with adapters black. You just put the lid on GGTS and you are ok:)
I'm sorry everyone. I'm showing how I little I know. I thought I bought the 3 adapters so that I could use Penelope with air control on GGTS

there is no GGTS base for penelope pract. Penelope works with adapters on GGTS and you can have air control too by putting the lid on GGTS as I said to my previous post:)
Imeo just to be sure,

Being my first entry to GG, I'm on the list for the P&P; waiting for the preorder to open from e-cigz uk. I'm also looking to buy a GGTS if I can get one from them lol.

Would the Penelope fit the GGTS with air control as is or do I need to buy the GGTS base as well? Also is this the same GGTS base that will work with the Ody as well to give air control?

thanks.

Ok. I'm not crazy then ;) I thought we talked about that earlier but then someone said Penelope has GGTS base. I'm ready for her then Imeo.
Thanks for clarifying again.

An update for all of us trying to get ready for Penelope to fit on their GGTS.

I ordered from 2 different vendors (not naming) these adapters and they were not the right adapters to make it work.

So, my 901-808 came way too long. Beware because this won't make this union work. I Just ordered the appropriate size 901-808 from heavens-gifts

This arrangement will let you fit Penelope onto GGTS.

Just thought you should know that it's GG 510-901 rethreader> 901-808>901-510. This should sit flush with brass top cap. make sure your 901-808 is not big version.

Thanks Ariel and Imeo for the fix!!!!

Chris

Thanks for the answers about the wick and wires. I read somewhere which wick and wire Imeo recommended but forgot where...
Could some please tell me what wick and wire I should use on the Penelope?

Also, to whom it may concern, I mailed e-smokeguru and Vassalis said he will get back at me as soon as the product comes available.

Unless Imeo's wire supplier has changed the wire comes from wires.co.uk
Resistance wire is .15mm Nichrome
No Resistance wire is .2mm nickel

I am on the list and I just ordered my 1st Penelope... I would like to have what I need on hand. WTS, is this where we here in the states order these products from? Should I not even bother looking on Ebay? Also I believe I remember seeing a wick in Imeo's video. What material is that?
TIA,
Ken

Wick is ordered from a specific manufacturer in China I don't believe Imeo has ever mentioned the company name however to order you have to order something like 27000 ft ( I believe it was actually 5 miles) of the stuff and it isn't cheap. I don't remember exact cost but I know it was over 5000 US to order so I gave up on that option.

As for the wire I don't know if there are good local places to order the Nichrome (NR wire) but Kanthal is available on e-bay and direct from the manufacturer. The stock wire is .15mm which is around 34 or 35 awg so that is probably a good place to start. Most people seem to prefer 36 for HV/high ohms and 32 or 30 for low ohm setups.

I havn't been able to find a good source in the us for the Nickel nr wire which is why I ordered from wires.co.uk personally. There are a bunch of sources for silver nr wire search the gg subforum there have been dozens of topics on it and many links provided for price. I personally don't like silver nr wire because it isn't as sturdy as the nickel (at least the guages I've used)

Anyways good luck with your search. I will say if you end up ordering from wires.co.uk you will get enough to last for half of eternity so the shipping cost can be softened a bit. You might also be able to get a couple people to split the order like I did but I can tell you dividing 300 meters of resistance wire up was kinda a pita. If and when I run out of ire I will be ordering from then again and I can tell you it will likely last me at least 8 years. I have already been using the wires I bought for my iAtty for about 10 months and havn't even used 1/3 of what I bought.

Thanks for the info. I have 75' of kanthal A-32 awg, and 75' of Kanthal A-1 32 awg. So I will see what I can come up w , I'm sure there is a place to source it here in the states, it may just take some work. As far as the wick goes, I'm going to try cotton. That guys in the other thread I linked to are having some great luck w cotton and yarn, so I'm going to try that. One of the guys says he has been using cotton on his Ody for a very long time, and he swears by it, says its the greatest ever. Also I'm sure you've seen a couple folks chime in here saying their using it also and are happy w it.
Do you have a Line V2? I am curious how the Ody and Penelope compare to the genesis type RBAs. I've been using 2 diff lines and a Scuba for a few weeks and I have to say I'm not that impressed. I think I've been spoiled with the HH 357's and direct dripping in general. I've already listed the Scuba and I'm thinking about listing the Line V2. I was thinking I just needed to figure out how to operate them properly, but now that I have them working right, I'm not very impressed.
Thanks

Hey Fright 30g Silver wire is the goods... but if your having trouble with it being too soft try the same 30g silver wire but in half hard instead of dead soft... I prefer the dead soft myself but you may like the Half Hard much better.... and TwistedJewels.com has the best prices on silver and free shipping if you spend 20 or more I think and 95 ft is a half oz.... as of now Kanthal A1 is my favorite and like fright said 36g best for HV coils and 32g for low voltage... I have 34g also and sadly it is not a happy medium it just doesnt seem to perform... currently ebay is the best place for Kanthal A1 but at the moment there isnt any available... there are many options for wick from stuff from china, stuff from a craft store or theres kiln treated nextel xc-116 which is my personal favorite... but no matter what you use as long as it keeps your coil moist and doesnt give off a nasty aftertaste or contain something not suitable to inhale than it works...

I'm a complete noob when it comes to silver. I have 3 RBA's and I have been wrapping w K anthal for about a month. I'm confused regarding your post. I have literally 150' of Kanthal but no silver. Do I need silver? Also for anyone looking for Kanthal, I've emailed back & forth w the seller and she assures me it will be back in the next week or so. She also said she will email me when its in so I will post when that happens.
How does resistance wire of .15mm nichrome and nonresistance wire of .2mm nickle compare to Kanthal A1? The Kanthal is obviously conductive.
TIA
