Pennsylvania Vapers - Introduce Yourself!

Status

Hey all,

My name is Ethan and I live in Harrisburg. I had trouble with my equipment (kr8) at first so it took me a while to adopt e-cigs. This is about day 2 now totally off analogs and I am doing fine. I have a Precise18 and some juice/DIY goods on their way from the classifieds here and am making some more orders to complete my setup. Looking forward to meeting some of you in the future =)

Hey Ethan, I'm just up the street from you... sort of - I'm in Selinsgrove, up the river a stretch. Glad to hear you're making a run at getting off the smokes! I'm coming up on a year smoke-free at the end of February, and it was a lot easier that I thought it would be. Good luck, and stay tuned after the holiday, there will be some meets coming up that you can hop in on!

Howdy, folks! My name is Dylan and I'm from South Central PA (Chambersburg/Waynesboro area). I read a lot of this thread and am quite surprised by how many vapers are here from PA! I even noticed a few peeps hailing from my particular neck of the woods.

Nice to meet you all! :)

Welcome! I work in Frederick, MD, so I'm around that way quite a bit. Yeah, I have a horrible commute on route 30. I think it would be much better to live in your area, I just don't feel like moving, especially with the housing market & all.

Cool! I'm about 5-10mins north of Hagerstown. My sister lives in Boonsboro. A good friend of mine lives in York.
Yes.. a RT30 commute would suck.
I don't even want to talk about the housing market right now. LOL... I bought back in '07 and values have seriously tanked ever since. Oh well, I like the area and eventually the market will pick back up. Luckily I got a deal on my place, too, so that helps.

Hubby's parents are in Boonsboro.
In case you didn't have time to read all the way back thru the thread, I'm just outside Chambersburg.
Yes... I remember seeing your post back there. A couple others as well. I used to live in Edenville several years ago. Also lived in C-burg for a year or two, and worked there for like 8yrs.
Nice to meet you. :)

Hey guys, new member here. Pretty new to vaping also. It's been about a month now since I started and haven't looked back. The day I got my first PV was the last day I smoked. I was a PAD smoker for about 20 years. I started out with a few m401's but soon realized I'd need something more satisfying. I ended up getting a Boge Leo and love it. I live in Hanover PA which is about 10 or so miles east of Gettysburg.

Ahoy fellow keystone vapers.

Name is Jeremy. I'm just another old punk from York (Yep, there's another to add to the list). I've never been good at these introduction things so I suppose I'll start with the vaping side since that is why we're here.

Been vaping for about 8 months total now. It's been off and on unfortunately, mainly due to lack of preplanning liquid purchases. Now that I have a steady supply of liquid by DIY I haven't any intentions of going back to analogs. I was just shy of a pack a day smoker, started on 18mg nicotine, now I find myself mixing 32-36. I think I'm doing this wrong haha! I find I like that level for two reasons: 1) When I need the quick buzz I can take a couple quick puffs, 2) When I want the high dosage effect of nicotine and relax and calm myself I can take long, slow puffs. It works and I won't complain at about half a ml a day being used ;)

Now a bit of personal I suppose. I'm a volunteer EMT in East Prospect both ambulance and fire side, and enjoy rubbing it in my partners face that I can smoke in the apparatus and she can't. I'm also a ham radio nut... so now you know I'm a nerd ;) Did I mention I like Star Wars? hmmm I enjoy the punk and psychobilly genre's of local music, unfortunately there's not much of any kind of *billy, save for hillbilly (no offense intended) in the local scene. Uhm, I frequent the Tourist Inn in Hellam (Another Vape friendly pub to add to any lists... In fact between myself and a friend we've gotten almost half the regulars vaping instead of smoking, including 3 of the tenders)... let's see, I don't know what else, so just ask!

Hope to see ya's around, both virtually and perhaps physically!

"Oi to the punks, Oi to the skins, Oi to the world and everybody wins. Oi! Oi!"

Greetings everyone! Ken here. SW Pa, Near Greensburg (Jeannette). Relatively new to vapeing but pretty excited to have found an alternative to analogs. I love to "smoke" and so far vapeing seems to be a good, healthier substitute. Don't know If I'll quit analogs completely but seems like a possibility now. I NEVER thought I'd say that!! I have, so far, cut way down on the analogs and don't even miss them. Wow! This is huge for me. I am even finding that I greatly prefer vapeing for many reasons and in many situations. This is like a Godsend for me and apparently for many others.

Really looking forward to learning more and getting involved with others in the vapeing scene. I would really like to be able to get together with other vapers so I can see and try other equipment and juices. I've been frustrated by buying stuff online not knowing if I'll like it or not but then being stuck with whatever i get. Still searching for the right juice(s). There are so many choices and reccomendations and I've already spent a fair amount of time and money on stuff I can't stand and found only a couple flavors which I enjoy. What a waste. Wish i could just go to a "juice" store and try samples till I find the right ones.

Anyway, Glad to finally be part of this new experience. Have found fellow vapers to be extremely helpfull and friendly. Thanks to all of you!
