Update:
I asked for pdib's advice via PM since he's kind of been the go-to-guy for a lot of the questions I've had regarding my Reo.
I understand that Rob knows best, but I also understand he's a very busy man. I chose not to disturb him with my petty mishaps, as I am sure he is locked away in the lab working out the kinks for the new sub-ohm kits and the re-release of his classic Woodvils.
That being said, pdib essentially told me that he saw this thread but was hesitant to make a suggestion; in short, it could have been anything. He added a bit more, and after reading his theories, I did as follows:
1. Took apart my entire Reo. Everything that comes out, came out.
2. Doused the entire thing with 91% isopropyl alcohol. The stuff worked wonders for my iTaste SVD and other VV mods. Why I stopped using it when I moved to mechanicals is beyond me.
3. He said there might be something blocking my 510 connection. I used a small wire and was actually able to shove a large amount of an unknown substance (lint from my jeans) through the other side.
4. I rinsed the entire thing with steaming hot water using that fancy-pants-spray-hose-thing attached to my sink.
5. I let it dry.
6. I applied small amounts of Noalox to every connection in the mod.
7. I rebuilt my RM2 (speaking of which, one of my posts is loose; I'll post this problem in a separate thread).
8. I threaded that SOB with some organic cotton.
9. I vaped it with a new, fully charged battery.
10. I searched relentlessly (to no avail) for my socks, as they were blown off after the first hit.
If anyone has had a similar problem, I hope this thread helps. It seems maintenance is key in a Reo's performance.
Thanks pdib.
Vape on, friends.
