you shouldn't discuss all of the flavorings from perfumer's apprentice, especially the 2nd flavor being added on 3/19. doing so can get you an infraction (i just got one by trying to post it as a thread).

As far as I can tell he did not mention any drugs.

Have any of you made a caramel apple juice with PA flavors? Also is her blueberry tasty? I have Lorann's blueberry and it is weak to me.

Also would using her black cherry mixed with the lime possibly taste like a cherry limeade?
It would probably need some sweetner, but I am not sure about the cherry.
I've tried the blueberry and it is pretty good. I also mixed the blueberry 70% with some cheesecake 30% and it's quite tasty

Just a heads up,
As for the Can in a bus she is calling it Mary Jane, it was set to be on sale on the 19th but I talked to her and she said she had gotten and ecig (Yes to test things out) and mixed up the MJ and found they had sent her OIL based. She called and stopped her order of 5 gallons comming to her. She is getting it in water based but I do not know when the release will be.
So you can use Mary Jane of MJ when reffering to that paticular flavor.

Hmmm, lime and orange are oil based. What is the problem with oil based if used in limited quantities on that understanding?

Depending on the oil as some can cause respiratory problems, none that I have found. I use no more that 4 drops per 10ml and my attys have done just fine. I have used clove, orange, lime, peppermint, anise, and lemon.

66.3/33.3 caramel/white chocolate + .1% LOVE LOL :D

NUMMY!
Dan

I am trying to add this to your absolutely wonderful xls calculator Dan, but I choose TPA as the manufacturer, but White Chocolate is not a flavor I can select from the drop down and it won't let me add in my own. I checked the Flavor List for Drop Downs and it is listed there, but it isn't showing up. Any ideas?

And anyone who doesn't have this super duper calculator is doing more work than they need to!

Urgh. Still love the calculator, but when I tried to add a recipe I got an error:

Run-time error '1004':
Cannot change part of a merged cell.

Debug indicates the problem is here:
Module 4 Range("K15").Copy

I know very little about excel. I was using drop down contents, so I have no clue what could be causing this. I am sorry to post this, but I would really like to be able to use this calculator for e-juice recipes.

I got some stuff from PA today. I've only tried out Cheesecake, Blueberry, Peach, Banana Creme and the sweetener.

I was thinking the blueberry would be like a candy blueberry flavor but it's a natural blueberry flavor (my bad).

The banana creme and peach are great. I think the cheesecake tastes a bit more like sweet butter or buttered kettle corn than cheesecake but maybe that's just me.

I got Dan's calculator last night and was totally impressed with it. Most impressive was that I can calculate the actual cost of mixing a given bottle of juice. The bottom line being that it's about 3/4 less than if bought at Ms T who's is the most expensive that I know of.

What I had in mind of it doing while reading about the calculator here before I got it was that we could input different levels of nic in both PG and VG. I have both coming at 60ml and 50mg. I was thinking that I could mix the two into the recipe and get it to whatever PG/VG level I wanted easier. Is that a noob brainfart?

Is there a link that explains how to figure out how many drops of nic PG and VG and flavors would be contained in drops? From what I read here I get the idea that drops seem to vary from dropper to dropper and maybe viscosity of the liquid?

Is the spreadsheet going to be updated to include PA's numbers?

Thanks to Dan for the spreadsheet!

:)

Yeah, what he said!

No seriously. I use a syringe to mix my juices, it is more accurate and I'm old so I'd probably loose count after 20 drops LOL.

In my test batches I use a dropper that has been tested, so it relatively easy to convert the data into percentages. having said that, most calculators do not like or even use portions of percentages. In that case I round off, either to the lower number on strong flavours and round up on weaker flavours.

Forget drops. The only way to find out things like this is use your liquid in your dropper and count the drops that go into one ml. Do that for every liquid and every dropper. And note the temperature you work at.

MLs are easier, even if drops sound easy at first.

Drops are ment for the really small batches like .5ml - 1ml and the use the ml when making largers batches of 10ml+ Just helps in consistancy of flavor from small to large.
Hope this helps

All set up and wanting to start out simple I made some tangerine using PA Tangerine Oil and Cotton Candy. To me the tangerine by itself tasted too much like the rind and I wanted it a bit sweeter.

36mg PG 2.5ml
PG <1ml
VG 1.5ml
PA Tangerine 7 drops
PA Cotton Candy 3 drops
PGA 5 drops

5ml, 18mg Sweet Tangerine

After it sits a day or so I'll see if I want it sweeter.

Maybe a couple of drops of vanilla to help with the rind taste??

The PA numbers should have been added to the bottom, let me look. Hmmm must have missed that, will add it the next time. I dont recall off hand what they were, will have to re-measure.
sorry

Well, I done done it now!

*These peeps are going to think I've lost my mind*

I had ordered nine of PA's flavors and got to looking at recipes and didn't have what was needed so I ordered all of the rest of them too. That's about 32 total if I get the Bacon and french Vanilla that shows will be available tomorrow :p

If you guyz have come up with some nice recipes plz help a noob out and shoot me a PM with the numbers or post them here.

Oh, BTW, since GoodDog mentioned letting a juice sit. Does that mean actually sit still the whole time or do you move the bottle around vs shake, to keep the stuff mixed?

Thanks
