If you are looking for aroma notes, I would definantly check out Guaiacol, the base note is phenolic smoke spice. Gives any flavor a smokey feel, this is great in tobacco flavors and might be good in bacon.
Perfumers Apprentice - Guaiacol
Dan

Dang it...I knew I forgot one...

Dan, I had posted earlier that Tasty Vapor uses acetyl pyrazine, but they do also list guaiacol as an ingredient. Just wondering if you've used these and how to use them. Also, how much to add and what is the purpose of acetyl pyrazine?

Sorry redgirl, I missed your post...it has a popcorn/nutty flavor that I think is used to make PB and Caremel Corn...I use 1 drop to 7-8ml.

Linda has revamped her site. The samples are now on a link on the left side with other links, tilted Flavors in Development. We can no only request three flavors with an order as supplies are limited and with the understanding that feedback will be given. After we try it, there is a link reviews. You can go there to fill out a form with your opinion. Pretty kewl idea.

I have some work to do :)

For some reason though, the free samples seem to significantly raise the shipping costs.

I spent much of today playing with her flavors. I tried the New Brown Sugar and it's very sweet. Great when you want to add sweetness and richness. I hope it won't gunk up attys too bad, though.

Yep Kurt, you're right about the Sweet Cream! LOL With Peach it tastes just like Peach ice cream... very good, I highly recommend it!! :p

I'm going to let what I made sit a bit AND let my taste buds recover. hehe It's hard work to taste all these flavors and not have them all taste alike. LOL Anyone have any tips on how to get around using a clean, dry atty between flavors? I don't have enough attys for all the different flavors.

I sure like the taste of Xtreme Vapor's nic liquid better than any other I've used.

I'm sure this has been discussed but does anyone have preference for glycerin vs glycerine and what IS the difference?

Hoosier, I made your Cinnamon Pear recipe today and it is very good! I used a little less cinnamon - personal preference.

I can tell you what works best for me....blowing your atty out from the cartridge side through the small hole onto a paper towel...It gets most of the liquid out and flavor..

Could you post a link? I gave her a couple of recipes and she said they were posted, but I cannot find where nor can I find this form you type about.

Thanks

Ha ha...I'm assuming "va-voom" is a compliment and if your referring to pics from the Brandon Meetup, I don't think I look that great at all, but thanks for the compliment!;)
Yes,Yes and your welcome!:D

We are having a Michigan Vape Meet soon. Katy and i were just discussing it a few days ago.
Sandy....Katy was supposed to give me a date on the Meet a week or so ago....We were shooting for May...I suppose it will have to be June now to allow time for those who are attending to make plans.

Hope to see you there!

GoodDog,

I use Dan's exclusively.

First go to the Recipe tab and go Tools/Protection and unprotect the sheet. Enter a recipe using the percents like the others on that page. Go to the main page and on the top left choose your nic base whether it's PG or VG, put your Nic start amount like 50mg and under that target mg like 24, amount of juice you want the recipe to come out to, the amount of VG you want to use, flavor percent ect.

Look to the bottom right "select a recipe name from list -->" and choose the one you added. It will then populate the number of drops (or ml if a big batch) you need to use to make the recipe based on what you entered in the top right boxes. You MUST put a number in the Water/Vodak/PGA field for it to calculate. If not using any, use a number like .010, something really low.

Now, if you are making a very small amount like 2ml with three flavors, that is so small that on the third flavor, if it has a small percentage like 10% it won't show it so you have to SWAG that. I usually make 3ml to test so it'll do three flavors for that amount.

I use 1ml and 3ml syringes. I got the 1ml ones from my vet. Tell them it's to apply flea stuff to several cats. My wife gets 4ml for a large dog and applies 1ml to each cat. A large dog would take the whole 4ml. They'll prob just give them to you. Or a pharmacy will sell them I guess in most states.

Dan did an excellent job on the calculator! Thanks Dan!

Hope this helps!

:)

Yeah, I have all my recipes on that one spreadsheet. I back that up to my thumb drive in case....

Check out the DIY cost sheets too. Dan really did a bang-up job on those too.

:)

I love the DIY cost sheet, gives me warm fuzzies when I see the final results.

Thanks for the tip on saving the recipes. I've been using my beat-up notebook which I nicknamed "Mad Scientist Diary", lol.

Thanks MacDiver. My problem is just taking the time to learn something new that "looks" intimidating. You explained it very well. I use a 3ml syringe and I think 1ml would be easier. I'll pick one up next time I'm out.

I'm disappointed in many of PA's flavors. They just aren't coming through like they should. She's close but not quite there yet. IMO I love the quality, customer service, packaging and many of the flavors are very good but many need to be stronger. Some I can't get a taste or at least what I think it should be... like Malted Milk. Has anyone worked with that one? I won't give up on PA because I think she'll be the best in the industry and I know I need to give her more feedback. I worry, though, because taste is so subjective and maybe I'm wrong.

I don't use just one syringe. I have one for each ingredient, Nic, PG, VG and PGA. They are marked on the end of the plungers with a Sharpie, N, P, K (vodka) V. I line them up on a paper towel in the same sequence as the calculator numbers and that matches my written recipe, written in column form on a lined sticky note. Flavors are added last.

Doing that you can reuse each one to make another recipe right after that one using the same syringes. I use the flavor droppers for the flavors. I like to do the same sequence for each recipe so I don't forget to do stuff. But I'm old and forgetful....

Well Hoosiers recipe for the Cinnamon/Pear is very good I have vaped 6ml in the last 24 and just made another 8ml of it.. I did cut down on the Cinnamon but the amt of Pear is spot on.
MsKitty I had luck with her Tobacco Blend (Alc) I was able to get a light tobacco by just cutting the amt for a regular tobacco in half at 10% so I guess that would make it 5% DUH
