Perhaps a comparison argument for us to use.

Ok, I know there is to be no drug talk, but i think we are starting to be in the same boat as this one. This report done in reuters might just hold a key to our fight. Since the FDA claims it is a drug, and they are trying to ban it. Perhaps this Gil Kerlikowske is also someone we should be contacting.

Why do our laws embrace and celebrate the use of alcohol, an intoxicant that directly contributes to tens of thousands of deaths annually and countless social problems, while stigmatizing and criminalizing the use of cannabis, a substance that is incapable of causing lethal overdose and is associated with far fewer societal costs?

(This qoute is simply to show that if you change the substances it just about fits for us as well. NOT to advocate the use of cannabis. Which BTW the FDA has said over the past 40 some odd years that it has no benefit. Now 13 states claims it does, and millions of people as well.)

Considering that 13 states have legal medical marijuana and many of those close to signing for it to become legalized for recreational use, even though it is considered by the FDA and DEA a banned product, and NOT FDA approved might be a bigger blow then you might realize. How can it be political suicide when Obama made it very clear that states will be allowed to decide for themselves whether or not to pass a medical marijuana law. This in itself declares that the FDA doesn't have the ultimate say in what can and can not be used as a drug. Just because something that is FDA banned doesn't mean it can't be used, or sold. *EDIT add-on* At the very least this shows disregard for those that we put in charge of our health, and by the president no less. It's been state legal for cali for over 10 years. I'm sure there has to have been a few approval requests sent. yet the FDA says that it has NO MEDICAL VALUE. now we are seeing this as well.
I'm not a lawyer. I don't know if this would truly help at all. But, i thought i would get it out there, so that maybe someone might make use to it. If not, the chance was still worth the effort.
