I'm due for a replacement license tag for my car before long, so I researched personalized tags this morning. Florida has a Web site where anyone can type in up to 7 letters/numbers and see if that combination is available for a license tag.

Now this would be first-rate promotion for e-smoking, right? Every vehicle that pulls up behind you will see the words and read them. So ... the Web site says I can have:

E-smoker, vaper, e-cig, X-Smoker, Pipe Guy, Snuser .. and on and on.

It costs only a few dollars extra and the tag is good for years. A small sticker is placed on the tag each year to make it current.

If your state has personalized license tags, you might want to identify your passion on your tag.

LOL I plan on having personal plates on my Mitsu. Eclipse GS. But it is something that has already been determined. Unfortunately for Dave, I am NOT choosing Powder, or Blow. When he offered those as names I almost DIED!

It has come down to (yes it is still be polled on)

Accalia - a nickname I was given. Look up the meaning
AOD - Angel of Deth.
Karasu - Raven in Japanese
Koosoku - High Speed in Japanese.

I vote for e-cig or vaper. E-smoke will just perpetuate the smoking thing and we should back off from that. IMHO. :)

LOL...I used to work at the tax collector's office in my county (in Florida)...just so you know, that extra personalized tag fee is paid every year but you can keep the tag forever if you want. They make you replace the tag every 5 years (because the sun bleaches off the reflective paint) but you can replace it with the same personalization (good thing about that is that you get to keep the old one). I love the advertising aspect of it. Maybe 'e-vaper' (can be up to 7 letters/numbers and a space/dash except on some specialty tags (like sports teams) where, if I remember correctly, it's 5 letters/numbers and a space/dash). The reason I really like this is because I always have people staring at me when I'm vaping in the car.

Your memory is good, Imsewsure. It's five letters, for instance, if I want my college as a tag background, or if I want a special "trees" tag (and I would love one). It's seven letters for the rest that don't have flush left graphics.

Since our whole e-smoking/vaporizing practice is in limbo -- I think that would be a perfect word. And it kinda describes life today. Limbo. It's available.

Webster's: lim-bo. 1. ... a region bordering hell ... 2. a prison or imprisonment ... 3. a place or condition of neglect or oblivion to which unwanted things or persons are relegated.

Number 3 fits us nicely. Limbo. I like it!

My car is the body armor I don daily to go do battle with the world. Why not personalize my armor? LIMBO is better than HZQ 423 or whatever.

Personalized plates always attract my eye; my old editor drove a first year Datsun 240Z (before the company became Nissan). His plate still says "My 240Z".

To me, it's smart and classy at the same time.

P.S. You're sure right about having to get creative. My car, my name, any combination .. all taken. My work .. hobbies .. interests .. no deal. E-cig is new. Vaper is silly and no one would know what it means. Snus is taken but snuser is not. Snuff is available, and I was surprised. Limbo was the bingo word, however. Available. And I'm gonna get it.
