excellent reading! I experienced almost the exact same thing. I keep telling people that I ACCIDENTAL quit. Funny, because I actually keep getting pm'd on FB about how to get started. One friend from Tempe got started 2 days ago after going to Zikwid. Her ex just passed away from lung cancer after smoking. I have been contacted by friends multiple times now, although my step sister refuses to give it a chance. I don't force it.

Thanks for this post! Keep the tobacco flavor around, I woke up craving it after 2 month and 1 day of no analogs!

I hope this wasn't too long for you all, I just needed to tell my story and my friends and family are kind of sick of me talking about this all the time this week...So I thought you would be a good audience, and maybe even help some jump in to the vaping community.

I loved reading it. I can relate to and agree with every point you made. Particularly this last one about worrying that people are sick of hearing me talk about it, and the one about the people you meet in vape stores. If it weren't for this forum, I'd have to go to a B&M every day just to express my vaping excitement and wonder. I'm 3 weeks in and the vaping honeymoon hasn't gone away yet!

From one excited noob to another, welcome to the forum!

One of my closest friends on ECF (davelog) belongs/runs a vape meet VIP (vaping in phx) that's a great place to try before you buy, always newbie friendly and warm 'n welcoming especially if you got that itch to just wrap your hands around something and vape it. Not to mention, perfect for juice hunting. We're all looking for our "brand" and rubbing elbows with fellow local vapers is a great way to find it while saving money & time. You're right, in the end, ECF & Youtube can only go so far. Here is a thread I hope helps your journey brother.

And here is my buddy guppy as an example vaping something I'd love to try (once or twice) but without the learning curve or cost.

How do you find vape meetings in certain cities?

Thanks SpinDr480! I've been vaping for 2 1/2 months and share many of your perceptions. Most importantly, I would say, is that I also do not miss cigarettes. I really notice the smell on people who smoke, and in areas where people have been smoking, and can't help thinking, "I smelled like that for all of my adult life!" And I must add, I don't find it a pleasant or tempting smell:)

Way to go, and I would have to agree on going into a store that specializes in vaping. A friend told me what he had and the sales person was very helpful and got me off to a really good start.
Digestive problems that's interesting we're they intense, or very minor.

They are very minor...I have had similar problems when I tried to go off cold turkey, so I know it's from coming off the thousands of other chemicals in tobacco

I'll second the whole "ignore mall kiosks" comment. One of those green smoke kiosks popped up at a local mall.. the kit, which was basically a couple of tiny cigarette sized batteries, a charger and some prefilled carts went for over 100..

Insanely overpriced. But if I was still a smoker looking for a way out and didn't know anything about vaping outside of a Steven Dorf Blu ad...it might have been tempting.
