Hi all!
After driving a semi with my hubby for 12 years, I have a list of pet peeves about driving behavior as long as the truck I drove! (I promise not to list them all here.

) I drove strictly nights from around 7pm to 5am most of that time, and I really want to jump in here and vent about some of the things I saw!
First-
Not putting children in a proper car seat!

I've seen kids rolling around in the back seat, having a great time playing, and the parents turning around to yell then almost running off the road. I just want to scream at them to get those kids in a car seat or a booster seat!

This is a sore spot for me because I could never have children of my own. I just don't understand how some parents could be so careless with their children's safety!

Second-
No offense meant to any ladies here. Not everyone does this, thank God!
Women attempting to put on makeup while driving in rush hour traffic! Don't they realize how dangerous that is??! 8-o Take your eyes off the road for 2 seconds, and it can be enough to cause a terrible accident. If she is running late for work, get there safely first
then put makeup on in the ladies room!
Third-
It seems a lot of drivers have bad night vision. They drive around everywhere with their brights on, or their fog lights on when its not foggy. Especially in the rain. I've lost count of the times when someone came up to pass me with their brights or fog lights on--shining right into my mirror and blinding me! As they got next to me, I could see their dash lights were turned up all the way on high. (You wouldn't believe how easy it is for a trucker to see down into your car!)
Most people stop turning the headlight switch down as soon as the dome light goes off. My fondest wish? To MAKE THEM keep on turning that switch! (at least until the dash lights dim to a more comfortable level.) They'd be surprised how much their night vision will improve. (And also make them stop wearing glasses with tinted lenses, too!)
OK...I promise to stop venting now! This post has turned out a lot longer than I intended. Sorry about that. Maybe I should change my nic to Windbag!

And I promise to try to stop using so many exclamation points! (Had to get that one in

)
Take care ladies
