Good to see this thread is still going.
I'm on day one of induction. It's been a while since I've done low carb so here goes!

We don't absorb enough nicotine? I feel like I OD accidentally every day on nicotine. Get light-headed and nauseous if i vape too much. But i just love the throat hit so much.

I'm a carb junky and have been doing Atkins on and off for 35 years. My current weight loss program has been purely exercise, damn the carbs lol. Power walking 35-45 miles a week carrying 10lbs dead weight (trying to get back to the 20lbs I was carrying a couple years ago). Doesn't get easier at age 60.
Since my first e-cig arrived 4/30, I've lost 5.6lbs and 2.8lbs since going smoke-free on 5/18. (22.4lbs total since starting in February)
Please do report back on your findings Rorschach.... I guess I'll be finding out this week sometime just how much vaping effects blood sugar levels..I'm on a small dose of glucose oral medication...I've been putting off having my blood work done... But, I can usually tell when its getting too high just by how I feel..And so far, I feel fine...
I definitely have noticed since vaping my appetite has decreased...
Day 1 of induction down and already purple! Is that normal? I've never gone this long without a soda, and think I'm going to die! Also, I craved cigarettes really bad and almost cheated tonight after 5 months without! Scary! If it comes down to a choice between staying off cigs and being a lardass Dr.Pepper fiend, I'm going to have to go back to pop!
Neither PG or VG follow the same pathway as glucose. Their immediate presence in the blood does not have the same effect on insulin or blood sugar.
Both are easily metabolized by the body. Glycerin is very common in the body. PG becomes lactic acid, which is also very common in the body.
Both can be used to make glucose intermediates, so can protein.
I would be more concerned about the effect of drinking half a glass of milk than I would be of how much PG or VG I'm taking in.
I have concerns about PG and VG, but blood sugar is not one of them.
