Hey guys,

So basically I want to know what the difference is between the two and if they really matter on selection. I have only just bought certain flavors not even bothering with the pg and vg values. But I enjoy more of a fruity vape and im more concerned with vapor production then a real throat hit, which if I remember correctly is the main difference with the two.

If anyone can help me understand the importance of these values that would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Yes, it does make a difference. In short:

PG = Truest flavor, thinner, less atty cleaning, less vapor, more throat hit.
VG = Sweeter, thicker, more cleaning needed, more vapor, less throat hit.

PG wick better but VG gives more vapor so, if flavor and easy maintenance are your biggest concerns a high PG blend is best. If you want clouds of vapor and don't mind a bit of extra cleaning, high VG blends are better.

What Blue said. Plus:

If you're using a carto tank, you want to have at least a bit of VG in your liquid. If you don't, it will be more prone to flooding, because the liquid flows easier. PG wicks better, because it's thinner. It can wick too well, though, and make it difficult to get a good draw without getting a mouth full of liquid. This pretty much applies to any sort of tank you might be using, about the only way this isn't going to come in to play is if you're a dripper.

Because VG is so thick, it tends to be a bit more difficult to work with as well. That's not usually a problem if you're just filling stuff from little bottles though.

I don't know about that, I run 100% PG in a pro tank on a provari and, once I learned to burn for just 1.5 -2 seconds and pull lightly for 2.5 to 3 seconds, no hot splatter at all. Yes if you use a tank the same as a cart or carto, you will get hot splatter in your mouth but, it's just a matter of learning how to run all PG in a tank.
