Okay folks. Without a doubt this has been asked 1000 times and yes, I have read a ton. I just cant find the answer.
If I buy
THIS I still need to buy PG/VG I know. But...How do I know how much of the NIC juice to use? Say for a 10ml bottle? Or, If I get just plain ole nic from wizard labs, how do I know how much.
Basicly, My mind sees an empty bottle. I would add PG, then VG, then the flavoring, then how much nic juice. IF I use the calc it says to add the nic juice mentioned above to 97% and the rest is flavor. Is that right? Just hold my hand for a minute with the PG/VG/NIC stuff. If it helps, my target would be 70PG/30VG and nic anywhere from 6 to 10. Thanks
Dont buy the already mixed stuff. You may end up not liking that ratio, and its a little harder to adjust it.
Buy 100% PG or VG Nic Liquid in whatever strength. I normally buy 100mg...but for a beginner....
You may want say 36mg as it is safer to work with if you get it on your hands or whatnot (wear gloves!)
Then buy a normal bottle of PG and VG. They are cheap, get whatever size your budget allows.
Then download the Ejuice Me Up calculator and install it on the computer. (there is also phone apps, but I prefer the PC one)
Open it up...
Nicotine Strength e-Juice = put your percentage of PG or VG. So that would be 100% in one of the boxes.
Nicotine Strength would be whatever you bought. 36mg...48mg...whatever
Target Nicotine Strength = What you want to end up with. So if you only want to have 6mg..... then you put 6 in that box.
Amount to make = Self explanatory really.... you want a 10ml bottle....put 10 in there.
Water/Vodka/PGA = If your going to put any water or anything into the mix.....add the percent here. I usually leave it at 0%
Flav 1 = Name your flavor IE Bavarian Cream (TFA). You can name it whatever..but i normally put the name and vendor of who makes it because you can save your recipes. If you know its Bavarian Cream (TFA) then you can easily buy it again later.
In the PG/VG boxes add what you have. My flavorings usually are 100% PG... if your not sure what you have, you can look at the vendors site or simply ask. From what I normally buy...I always have gotten 100% PG.
The last box is the percentage. So if you want to add 10% Bavarian Cream....put a 10 in that box.
Flav 2 - Flav 5 are set up the same way. They are used for multi mix juices.
So if you have 3 flavors....
Flav1 - Bavarian Cream (TFA) / 100%pg / 5%
Flav2 - Caramel (TFA) / 100%pg / 5%
Flav3 - RY4 (TFA) / 100%pg / 10%
That is just an example...I have never tried that mix....its just to show you how multiple flavors would be added.
Next.... you have Drops Equal 1ml. It defaults to 20. I normally make mine 40.... but you have to test that with what syringes, pipets, droppers your using. Some droppers flow fast...and 20 drops out of it give you 1ml. Others drip really slow and tight....so it takes alot more "drops" to get 1ml.
Next.... where it says PG / VG underneath the drops part...put in the ratio you want. 70/30 , 60/40, 100/0, 62, 38....whatever.
Lastly.....hit Calculate at the bottom. It does the math for you and gives you the % of what you need to put into a bottle to get your juice. I would recommend using the ML column, because then your drop count really doesnt matter. If it says you need 3.2ml of nic liquid, 1.2 pg and 2.0 vg. Just take your syringe or pipet and measure out 3.2 nic....drop it in your bottle. 1.2 pg....drop in bottle and 2.0 and drop in bottle. Give a good shake!
Now you can either vape it like that, you can heat it to try and quick steep it....or you can let it sit for awhile..days...weeks... to let it steep (basically letting the chemicals mix well over time). That is another explanation all of its own though on how to steep liquid.
After you get the calculator working...save your recipes....you can quickly call them up and remake your liquid quickly.
I would also highly recommend making small batches, mixing and matching....until you find what you like.
You can make a small amount...say 1ml or 3ml....WITHOUT your nicotine liquid and vape it.
If you like the taste of the general mix..... then add nic liquid. If you hate it....then try again.
