Finding just the perfect ratio of PG:VG is a matter of preference. PG seems to be responsible for throat hit while VG contributes a lot to vapor. A lot of people like somewhere in the 80:20 range for their juices, feeling they can get the best of both worlds. Some, though, feel they lose flavor with the VG and prefer to vape pure PG. Others because of a sensitivity to the PG vape pure VG.

Much like flavor, the PG/VG blend tends up being one of those individual preferences, and I suggest you try a variety and see which works best for you.

SimpleSins has got her head on. :)

There really is no "best" mix, unless you're allergic to PG (which is rare).

Personally, I use 90% PG and 10% VG. I like a strong throat hit, and strong flavor, which is what PG juices do well. However, the vapor production on pure PG juices is lacking for me. So with 10% VG I get that little extra boost of vapor production without losing the strong throat hit or flavor.

Other people have different preferences. Some value the clouds of vapor that VG puts out above all else, and use mostly VG. Former "light" smokers also seem to prefer the smoother hit of VG. Others like 50/50.

You'll just have to experiment with it. :)

I'm one of those people who smoked ultra lights for many years. I don't care for a lot of throat hit, but taste is important.

The actual taste from an analog is pretty vile, but I still smoke about 6 or 8 a day. I said that just to use as a comparison. I have all VG and all PG juices and some 50/50 juices as well as some that are 70/30 pg/vg. I'm leaning toward mixes and there's not that much difference to me in a 50/50 and a 70/30. Both have some throat hit and lots of vapor.

So, if you are one who likes a stream of vapor on exhale and more taste than straight VG, a mix is what you want. I'd start with a more PG weighted mix like 70/30 and go from there.
