Right I have only just started vaping and decided to go the DIY route straight off, It's cheaper and I can control what I am using easier, but I am not really sure what the best ratio is?
I have been mixing 50/50 PG/VG as higher PG makes me really dry, I started off at 20% flavour but am finding that I need to add 2-5% more depending on which flavour I use. I am interested in trying out PEG, but there doesn't seem to be much info on this almost like it was used but isn't anymore. Totally Wicked for example did sell it and I can't find it on their site anymore.
So is the differences in flavours normal or am I just doing it wrong, maybe not steeping long enough and is there some reason why PEG doesn't seem popular because on paper it looks like a better choice than PG and VG if that flavour is to your taste?

Depends a lot on the brand of flavoring, and/or the flavor itself.
Some are stronger and some are weaker.
I almost never go over 20% total flavoring, but that's just me.
Sweeteners and EM will kill flavoring if used in excessive amounts.
Some flavorings in 50/50 mixes may need a few days to mix in good.
May also depend on the VG itself.
Or try a hot (tap water) bath for awhile, (you can do this several times), just soak bottle in a measuring cup with hot water.
Unless you want to try a crock pot or UC for speed steeping.
