Hi.I was wondering what would be the right PG/VG ratio for 48 mg e juice so as to get a moderate throat hit and decent vapor.Recently,I ordered some juices from myfreedomsmokes, all at 48 mg and 60/40 PG/VG and was in for a shock.I used an eGo battery with a vision turbo clearomizer with these liquids and got intolerable throat hits for the first 10 or 20 puffs every time and then they mellowed down a bit afterwards.I don't know what's wrong but I have used dekang juices @75% PG and never got such horrible throat hits ever.Is it just that this might be a bad batch or do I blame the clearos I am using with my ego?

LOL I began at 36 mg nic and would NEVER suggest going with 48 mg nic.

Here's a calculator to help you out:
E-Liquid Combining Calculator
Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG. I vape 70/ 30 PG/ VG.

Ok,get it.I ll try getting some VG to cut it down to 36 mg or even less. But guys, any insight on the real question plz?

I am still waiting for my first e-cig kit, which is "supposed" to come in today via UPS, but its now 4:36pm and it aint here yet! But I originally ordered 36mg e-liquid with that order, and since then I have done more research and found out that 36mg is probably going to be way too high. So since then I've bought pre-mixed e-liquids in 12-16-20mgs. I think the 48mg is certainly what is killing your throat!

I used to have a prescription for this smoking cessation device called a "Nicotrol Inhaler". It was not like an e-cig, in that it had no battery, no atomizer, no e-liquid. It was just a small plastic whistle looking thing that came apart at the middle and you slid in a catridge, which was a clear cylindrical plastic tube with this spongy material inside, and there was nicotine infused into the spongy material, so when you sucked on the whistle looking device with the cartridge inside, you drew some nicotine from the cartridge into your mouth and throat, and the first few hits always burnt, then after a few hits, you stopped feeling the burn. But it was nicotine that was causing that burn, nothing else, so I'm sure that in your case with 48mg of nicotine in your e-liquid you are certainly feeling the burn from the nicotine!
