Isn't 2 drams 2 bottles of LorAnn's?(I don't even know what a "dram" is *lol*) So, how many ml did you get with the above recipe?
A dram is 1/8 ounce, or 3.7ml.
It seems like most of the recipes calls for a total of 60% liquid... Forgive me for being a ....., but what's the other 40 % suppose to be? Thanks in advance for putting stupid questions out there!
Recipes really do vary. They are usually a mix of nic-juice, PG and/or VG, and flavoring - with the possibility of some water or vodka to thin the juice if the VG made it too thick.
How much of each of these liquids ends up in th final juice depends on many things:
1) Strength of base nic-juice. You'll use less 75mg juice than if you used 24mg juice.
2) Strength of final product. You'll use more nic-juice to make 36mg e-juice than if you were making 12mg e-juice.
3) Choice for 1 and 2 will determine amount of PG and/or VG. Using 75mg nic-juice to make 12mg e-juice will require a lot of PG/VG.
4) Amount of VG can depend on how much vapor you want.
5) Amount of vodka or water can depend on how thick the final e-juice is, which generally depends on the amount of VG. VG is very thick, so the more VG added the more vodka/water is needed to thin it. But it all really depends on the person. Some people don't mind thicker juice, some high-voltage devices like thinner juice, some atomizers like thinner juice, it goes on and on.
6) The strength of the flavoring used will determine how much is used. LorAnn's is generally considered to be much stronger than Bickford's, so you'd use less LorAnn's. But the flavor also matters - LorAnn's Marshmallow is very weak, while their English Toffee is quite strong. One might use 5 times as much Marshmallow as English Toffee.
