I think this has been debated several times over in the past, but I ran across a site that made PG sound scary. I don't believe everything I read, but I would like to hear about any developments found recently related to it's inhalation.

Everything I've read up to this point suggests Propylene Glycol is about as safe as it gets when it comes to inhaling things. I ran across this article while I was googling what department PG would potentially be sold under at my local Walmart.

Any fruit falling from the tree this guy is shaking? I'm curious.

Little bit off the wall considering it's used in hospital A/C systems and inhalers. However, propylene glycol can be used as antifreeze and certainly could be used to deice planes. That said, it's propylene glycol's close cousin ethylene glycol that is used in the kind of antifreezes that kill animals and is considered toxic.

The person who wrote that is obviously very ignorant and she just copied and pasted things from the INDUSTRIAL PG MSDS. USP PG is different and it's actually an excellent carrier of flavor, so I highly doubt that the PG in the cake was responsible for the lack of flavor. I bet she hasn't read the list of ingredients for her toothpaste or her shampoo lately. Too bad we can't comment on her site because I'd tear her a new one...

its kind of funny I needed some more low conductance coolent for my water cooled PC so I go out to Koolance website and it's like 30 bucks for a 200ml of it I'm thinking why is this so expensive what's it made out of some super secret stuff developed by NASA? I look at the label and what the hell its propylene glycol. I'm not saying anything bad about PG I was just surprised and happy because I can buy a gallon of pg for $20. oh the many wonderful uses for PG

Thats awesome! I've always wanted a water cooled rig, but money has been tight for just too many years. Perhaps the next machine I build can be water cooled ;) good to know I can save some money on the coolant :D

Yeah but you realy should only vape Food grade PG.

I'm in HVAC and years ago when we first started installing GEO Thermal systems my boss insisted that we use the most enviromentaly safe coolent and after weeks of research I found Food grade PG to be the safest the Nonfood grade PG can contain a multitude of contaminants.

Yeah, food/medical grade is USP while if memory serves me right industrial is DSP, if it has an MSDS it's industrial, food/medical grade doesn't need one because it's safe to humans.
