I put a note when I ordered it saying I was Grrr from ECF and aiolos offered to make one in a Delight finish and not 5 mins after making the order I get an email from them stating they will make it and thanks etc.....this is why I love GUS, amazing customer service, willing to work with us and they always answer emails quickly. Hands down the very best in the business. And it's over 11pm over there so it's not even work hours.
Thank you once again aiolos and to all at GUS.

Couldn't agree more. The can do attitude is phenomenal. And in truth that attitude is as important to me as the obviously beautiful designs the GUS team generates. Keep it up guys. [emoji106]

Can't wait to see the special project. The project I would kill for (and save my pennies for) is a silver lord - okay telescopic is probably not affordable or practical but take one of the classic patterns and make it in stirling silver or even TI-Aln plated precious metal version - classic form reimagined in precious metals.[emoji4]

The silver Caravela was $4300, just to give you an idea on what an all silver Gus mod might go for ;)

Not what I had in mind.[emoji3] But that was a different time. Today the dollar is close to parity with the Euro and the price of silver has plummeted. The price of silver is $17.54 per ounce. Assuming 6-8 ounces of silver is used (a 18350 probably uses half that)!the raw material cost is under $150. A basic GUS SS mod sells for roughly $125.00. On the $692 ghost price that would leave $400 for development of casts/molds and profit. Now those numbers probably don't work but it is not necessarily that far off.
