Eh. Anyone with a brain knows these companies are fairly evil. But if their evil makes them do something nice, great. It's not going to persuade anyone who doesn't smoke to start. And the culture is such that most people smoke anyway.
So... great. Doesn't make me like them any better, but I'm glad they're doing it for whatever their questionable reasoning may be.

i'm gonna have to be a contrarian and say that tobacco companies aren't evil. they merely provide a legal product that there is a market for. are liquor companies evil?
It's sad to say but Phillip Morris is definitely protecting their investment in present and future smokers. It was disgusting and very sad to see the 2 yr old Indonesian child chain smoking 40 analogs a day (see YouTube). Most Indonesia children (age 7up) are smoking and can legally purchase cigarettes, no thanks to their government. Hummm, wonder if Phillip Morris made any donations to Katrina victims?

Simply they are a legal Company and with some respect, they are doing their job. Guess What, i know some of the Philip morris Staff and they Don't Smoke tobacco Cigarette although they are being paid to Smoke. They just treat the money for extra income rather than spending on Cigarette. They so know that Smoking is harmful.
The Company is Evil, is the people who feel what they can do to help out to show that they have a heart. Erm, but still that does not mean that the Company is doing good for the whole entire world. Think about how much millions... no is zillions they have earn from us.

Phillip Morris is a company that has a product and sells that product...I believe that some of their tactics may be unsavory but not all.
My dad worked at Phillip Morris for 26 years and retired from there. So I was provided a home, clothes and shelter all due to tobacco money. Ive taken tours of the factories and been to open houses at the main branch in Richmond Va ( I grew up there) Do you know how many jobs they provide for that city? It's phenomenal! Just because I started vaping does not mean that I'm jumping up on some high horse and becoming anti-tobacco. People will smoke...they have for years and they know what they are doing to their bodies and it is their choice to do so.

Hi hi, you don't have to walk away, we not into hating in personal. I agreed with you that We smoked in our very own Choice but with some influences from Friends/Dad/Mummy and others and no one Forced us to but we are addicted to the Nicotine in tobacco. But still we have to thanks to all Tobacco Company, because without them there wouldn't be us chatting here with our Vaporizer in hand.
I believe that All tobacco Company are just wanting to make profits, as for the people in it, they are just making a living out of it. if i was to work there, i would have did the same. but i now in the 21st Century and we are talking about a new ERA which is happening and we are the people in it doing and writing a new History for changing that.
