Just quickly dropping by to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving. Also, I'm really pleased with my new frosted Cobra tank. The attention to detail and the end result is astonishing.

Here's the original pic I sent. I know that the it might be hard to tell what the design might be since the juice that's in the tank is clear.

Wash, where the hell have you been and how are you? That Seattle skyline looks great. I'm not surprised you would choose that one.

Happy Thanksgiving to you to! You probably are gone by now, I've been busy trying to get the new handblowns ready for the Black Friday sale.

Glad you are happy with the tank... enjoy.

That is really cool looking!

Moorea you guys should run with that concept and do other major cities. I would have totally bought an NYC skyline tank for mine. As it is, I love my purple dragon though. This pic is of the fire breath side but trust me, it's very cool:

And the warnings start for the Pyrex tubing that is being used in the other thread. A "bad batch", or temperature flux can cause the glass to blow up, and potentially in our faces. So a warning to anyone here that will be experimenting with Pyrex in this environment. This Pyrex is under high stress under the cap.

On a side note, Happy Thanksgiving to all!

We have actually thought about doing a skyline series. Our problem is there are so many to choose from. Being born and raised in NY, NY was of course a given, but then I had the issue to go with a skyline that included the towers or not, the skyline without the towers just didn't look right to me, found the thought depressing and moved on to other design ideas.

If people are interested in a skyline tank, please give us an idea of what skylines would be popular.

What's the problem?

I set em up just like in AG's video, even tempered the wire on two of them... I check and adjust for an even burn/glow, put the cap on and vape. It's wicking like a champ and even got some good vapor, but light on flavor. So i check the coil again and have a hot spot... I readjust, cap it and vape. Now it's just this over and over and over again, until i pull the coil and make another, then it's the same with that one until i give up.

Is the hotspot in the same general area? Forget the coil, pull the wick and torch the top 1/3 or so of the wick again. Give it a go for 15 more seconds, reinsert, fire and adjust. I highly doubt it's your coils. You seem to be shorting.

Are you keeping it tilted up, so it's feeding the coil? The coils will get hot & glow without liquid cooling & vaporizing. A new wick & coil has to be tilted & broken in, otherwise you are fighting a lost cause.

Dude. You and I have to get on some schedule.

Yup, doin the tilt on every vape...

I just re-torched it, might give it another go if i get in the mood. I'll have to make another coil for it.

Here is a burn on a Provari for a complete 15 second cycle, until it shut off. Notice the liquid bubbling on the wick. It's almost flooding it. This is a broken in wick & coil, so I didn't have to tilt it as much...

15 Second Burn on a Chobra - YouTube

Yup, mine would bubble, but only on the top part of the coil, never through out the hole thing.
