And finally, I was not on the back deck for these but actually down at the lake... My daughter catching her first fish (taken ten years ago) in our "back yard"
And daddy proudly checking it out!
So there you have it Matadorx, the elk in my opinion aren't that exciting when you have moose and bald eagles to look at! But you are always welcome to grab your bow and rifle to check it out yourself... Just no hunting on the property!
Life in the wilderness or "the middle of nowhere" as I prefer to call it, is truly awesome but has it draw backs... The winters are just down right freezing, by the time you truly warm up summer is over and it starts all over again. If you want to do something as simple as go grocery shopping or catch a movie it involves an hour and half of driving (there and back) on icy, snow dangerous mountain roads, our main road to town is considered the most dangerous highway in the country. And pray you never need to be rushed to the hospital because if you do, you are taking a helicopter ride to do so. The helicopter isn't so bad for us because it lands in my moms front yard (the biggest clearing in the area) and our fire department didn't show up until after my moms house finished burning down...
So the wilderness certainly has its perk, but the life style isn't easy!
