We are currently in the process of discontinuing the SS caps and moving to titanium. The new Titanium samples arrived today so they will be tested and then we will be ordering in bulk :)

As soon as we get going on the Titanium caps for the regular tank, we will then make titanium for the Skinny tank.

Hi,
there are already test results and news about availability?
Thank you

They tested fine we have ordered in bulk. The machine shop usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to complete large orders and then they have to be shipped to us.

We ordered them about a week ago.

Well at this point there is nothing left for me to do but wait and I am sure hoping the machine shop does not take their time!!!

We just ordered a machine to anodize titanium in various colors and in rainbow so I am very excited for the TI caps to get here. Of course they will arrive while I am in bed recovering so Chris will get to have all the fun :(

Hope you recover fast

im starting to think about getting an XL tank
juice, yummy yummy juice

Thank you... fast recovery or not, I will be dragging myself out of bed to play with the anodizing machine

It was one of the reasons we decided to move to Titanium caps and electrocuting metal until it changes colors just sounds like to much fun to miss.

Oh by the way, for those who were waiting, I just added some handblowns and textured tanks to the website!

Its to late to send out a newsletter, so anyone who reads this post will get first pick!

Oh... i love GLOW IN THE DARK! not a fan of bubbles

Sandblasting glow in the dark? now that would be a huge WIN!
(i want to think it could be done)

and the new TI caps are 'helping' me wait on ordering, i figure if im gonna do it, i wanna do it right :D

Yup, you would think it could be done wouldn't you. We have tried several different glow in the dark paints on the sandblasted tanks and the results are always the same .... ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! You can't tell it has been painted, which is not surprising with the glow paints as it really isn't a color as much as it a gloss. But when you turn out the lights they just do not glow. I haven't given up on trying new paints when I come across them so maybe some day.

HA! knowing a lot about GITD, more then sandblasting, i understand, but think it 'can' be done. DONT GIVE UP (you can always try with my logo ;) )
i think every guy loves GITD, just something about it....
try non green/ standard, like blue (and orange) works with a different element, and might hand it self better to sandblasting

just a thought.

i cant wait to see your anodizing. might make me anodize my phone, so things match ;)

With all the new things we have been researching and working on I kind of forgot about the glow paints after our last failure. The tins, skinny phinnies, new paint colors, new ti caps and of course all the research that went into anodizing the TI put the glow paint way into the back of mind. However all that is done and since my last post I did a little more research!

I think we are going to give glow powder mixed with acrylic medium gel a try :) Just ordered everything needed for Green, Aqua, Violet, Blue, White, Orange & Red glow powders!! We will also try mixing them with our existing colors as the glow powder mixed with clear medium alone does not really have a color when it is not glowing.

So we will have two things to play with this week. The anodizing machine arrives Wednesday and the Powders should arrive by the end of the week...

these caps have even more of a death grip than the regular phiniacs, didn't think that was possible lol i'm definitely going to have to get more tanks, thinking about blue anodized caps for my alien dude on a blue provari hehe (i don't even like blue o_O)

and after seeing that white on that leo, think i might need that eagle in white as well that'd be nice on a white provari

looks like i'm gonna have a few more big purchases coming up

Me sarcastic? Chris didn't forget the carto punch screws so thank you Chris. :D

I also hate communicating via text. What's missing in the tone of the text. I wouldn't have said thank you if you or he had forgotten them. That would have been rude. :)

I will post photos of both the anodizing and the glow in the dark as we go. I would have the last time we worked on the glow in the dark... but there was nothing there to take photos of :( Hoping we have better results with the powder.

We will not have the TI caps for the skinny tank for a little bit. We still need to send off a prototype, receive samples, make changes if need be receive new samples then place an order. With surgery coming up I am guessing Titanium caps for the skinny tank won't be available until late May.
