So, 7 days without a cigarette. Amazing, couldn't have dreamed it would be this simple. vaping may yet save my life.

...but I've had a couple of not so positive experiences and maybe putting them to you will help me feel more confident with my new habit.

Right --- Nicotine juice: No matter how careful and organised (UK spelling, sorry) I am about getting the juice from the bottle into the tank, I always end up with a little on my skin, and in turn a little on my battery. I wash my hands, no problem - then later notice my keyboard and mouse are a little sticky from the juice too (expecting innuendo/criticism for that admission). Anyway, it makes me nervous. I need to hear it from you guys, you get the nic juice on your skin too right? And sometimes you don't notice it and forget to wash it off right? I just need somebody to tell me it's not going to kill me.

Now to the real deal: Anxiety. I perhaps haven't started vaping at the right time in my life, arguably there's never a better time to quite smoking cigarettes but I'm under a lot of stress with work and other aspects of life at the moment, a few career, family and financial worries. The last few months I've been of a nervous disposition, anxious - and smoking a cigarette used to calm me down.

Vaping on the other hand, well it gives me a bit more of a rush. I sometimes feel spaced out, it reminds me a bit of being [removed]

This makes me nervous, at times I feel a little sick. Start to panic that I've overdosed. I've done some research and nicotine overdose seems unlikely, especially given that I vape no more than 3ml of 1.2% juice per day. I just want somebody to tell me this dizzy/anxious feeling can be normal. :D

TOO LONG? DIDN'T READ? Vaping sometimes makes me dizzy and anxious, and I'm scared getting juice on my skin is going to kill me. Help. :D

Thanks all.

For afew minutes right after I wash my hands I enjoy not having that slightly sticky e-joose (sorry made up spelling) feeling on my hands.

Other then those few minutes between making joose and filling tanks and sometimes a leak or to I always have it on my hands.

I'm so outlaw I mix with 100mg without gloves. I don't bath in the stuff but I get some on me and its no biggie.

Don't worry. Unless you have a very rare disorder its harmless.

You are putting a lot of juice in your lungs and you are scarred about getting a bit of it on your skin?
If I get a drop or two of juice on my hands I often just rub it into skin - its main component, glycerin, is also a main component of many skin moisturizers. Amount of nicotine in a few drops of juice is so small...

I think the toxicity warning on the bottle doesn't help, thanks none the less.

Ejuice on the skin definitely is NOT going to hurt you, especially at the percentages in the juice you are vaping. I get it on myself all the time without a problem, and I do have sensitive skin.

About the other symptoms you are having - you have only been off cigarettes for a week now. So you are probably going to feel some anxiety and other symptoms. This is really normal for someone at your stage of the quitting game.

Sure they put it on label. If you drink it, it may be very harmful. So, do not drink it.

Do you want to see precautions for water (from chemical manufacturer):

Skin protection
Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Use proper glove removal technique (without touching glove's outer surface) to avoid skin contact with this product. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and good laboratory practices. Wash and dry hands.

Control of environmental exposure
Prevent product from entering drains.

MSDS - 320072

Yep. You have to handle water in gloves and wash your hands after it. Do not put water in drains...

Cool, thanks - anyone want to chime in about the anxiety/dizziness? Is this abnormal?

Yes, you're worried about it so you're just making yourself feel symptoms that aren't there. Some people put multiple nicotine patches on at the same time and lived, so a little (3ml tank that spilled all over my hands) is nothing to worry about.

Lot of good advice here Bud. You are normal, quitting cigs is a hard one to do, a lot of people fail. Anxiety and periods of insanity are completely normal and will pass in a few months if you stick with it. Getting juice on your hands and wiping it away are normal, its not a perfectly clean system we have here. I`m constantly wiping juice from my atty or from the DT or overfilled it or? It just comes with the territory. I too make juice from 100mg concentrate, I have never gotten any skin burn or OD from it.

ONE THING that I have to stress though, do not get it in your eyes. It is easy to do, forget you have it on your finger and go and scratch your eye, DO NOT DO THIS, it burns like hell and takes a lot of rinsing/flushing to get rid of it. Treat it like Hot Chips flavoring, you can get the hot chip crud on everything except dont rub it in your eyes.

BOL.

Quitting can have a ton of weird effects. I had a terrible sore throat and sometimes i felt like i had the flu. Still not sure if that was related to quitting cigarettes or not but that's what happened to me in the first couple weeks. Oh, and mouth sores. Anxiety is probably just the side effect of your other issues + being new to the vaping world raises a lot of questions, mostly about safety, that you probably aren't sure about yet. If that is the case i suggest scanning this forum, everything you would want to know is written here.

Regarding the liquid, don't worry about it. It's common and normal to get some on you, and in that concentration it's completely harmless. I also mix with 100mg without gloves, though i don't think i got any on me yet :)

Oh and dizziness and/or headache = too much nicotine for you at this moment.

As other users have stated, e-juice on the hands is no big deal. I'd be more worried about the amount we put into our lungs and the potential unforeseeable consequences of that than anything else -- and personally, I am. But on the hands? Man, I'm a dripper. I have e-liquid on my hands 24/7. Sometimes if I catch myself putting my hand on my face or something I'll get the sweet whiff of lemon or berries. I've probably spilled hundreds of mL's on my hands during my 2 years vaping. I even spilled a 30mL bottle of 6mg e-liquid on my lap at one point.

In terms of feeling buzzed, I rarely get that. Lower your nicotine level. I'm between 3-6mg these days, and for reference, I was a 2 pack-a-day smoker, and I pretty quickly found 12mg to be too much.

Only ill effect I have had from getting e-liquids on my hands is they tend to prune up a little and feel sort of dry. I think the latter may be from washing my hands more than regularly when handling nic. Picking apart atties for cleaning and such? I don't wash off till I'm done. No ill effect.

I have no concern whatsoever. I know what vaping too much feels like. Getting any amount of liquids on my hands (without panicking towards nearest sink) have never felt like that. Not even close. Not even the slightest sensation of anything except the annoyance of having something sticky on my fingers.

Dan:

Welcome. I think you may be getting more oxygen now that you have gone seven days without an analogue. Have you ever had an anxiety disorder or panic attack on the tube or in different places -- is this the first time you have ever felt this way? I think if you look at this, you might just be getting more oxygen, or possibly vaping a juice too high in mg strength. What is your mg strength and are you vaping continually?

As for getting the juice on your fingers, just do not fill your cartomizer to the top. Also, this juice is not toxic. You really will be alright. I have spilled it all over the place before, but it has never done any damage. Are you using an atomizer, because I can't stand those anymore because they were too messy for me.

You said that smoking cigarettes made you feel calm? If I smoked a cigarette after all these years, I'd have a nervous collapse. The only thing that calms me down nowadays is electricity...just kidding...;)
