I'm wondering how to tell the difference between a phoenix clone or original? The shop by my house is selling them and I need to pick one up before a long driving trip this weekend. They are selling it for $32, which I was a little shocked by since I see them online for $8 all day long. Can someone give me some tips in how to tell if this is a clone or the real thing? I don’t know too much about the original phoenix, or even who makes it.

Here's a pic of the one their selling. It’s from Liberty Flights in the USA.

Thanks for the quick responce. The version 2 clone now has a flat top as well, that's why this is confusing for me to figure out by pictures alone. The finish does look differant though.

Here's a link to one of the clones I've found with a flat top: http://www.discountvapers.com/phoenix-rebuildable-atomizer-v2/

Just checked there, Liberty Flights have the original eshots Phoenix. Genuine. Vapor..... also sell the genuine article.

Sweet, thanks man! I'm assuming the original doesn't have that issue with the center post sliding up and not making connection.... I'm hoping.

Well, I picked one up. I gotta say... I’m less an impressed with the build quality of it. I already had a regular phoenix at the house that a buddy of mine gave me. I thought the one I had was a clone because the bottom o-ring was really small and didn't hold the threading tight when screwed on, and because it would sit crooked on my APV do to the threading or post being crooked (not the center post that moves up and down, the outside 510 threaded post that affixed to the base). I figured the one he gave me was a clone because of the crappy build of it.

Turns out it’s the exact same thing as the original phoenix I just picked up. Same crooked base and same crappy o-ring on the bottom. Not to mention the fact that 1 out of 12 drip tips at my house would actually fit the thing.

I guess I shouldn’t have expected much from it being so cheap even though it was an “original” eshotsph device… not like it was American or European made quality.

Dude! That's crazy! They heard you! . . . . . . Yell something else . . . . tell them to make the IGO-L caps not fall off. :)

Hate to read this about the igo-L. I was seriously thinking about picking one up in the very near future. I don't want an RBA if the cap won't stay on. bummer.

I heard that if you wind a turn or two of dental floss under where the o-rings go, it tightens it up. Also, subjecting my AGA to super low resistance vaping seems to have tightened things up. (same design and loosey-ness)
