Okay, I'm a little peeved here. I just received my Phoenix 3ML tank in the mail, literally a half hour or so ago. I loaded it up with some juice and of course - YUCK! Good thing I had read some of this thread before hand. So I took it apart and was going about cleaning it. I noticed some metal flecks on my Q-tip and wondered what it could be from....it was from the metal tube that sits in the middle of the clearo. WHAT?! The metal paint or whatever the heck it is is literally peeling away from the metal tube, guys. Look, I know this :censored: is made in China, but come on! Is it really too much to ask to get something in that works out of the box? Is it even safe to vape with it now? What am I supposed to do here?

I just got my Phoenix tank today, filled it up with some Halo Belgian Cocoa and got a couple of good draws on it before it tasted like sucking on a nasty clown balloon... bad.. rubbery... blech. Thought to myself.. do I draw out the juice and clean it? or do I try to flood it and see if that helps?

I actually fiddled around with the silicone cap (wiggled just a bit) - which released the pressure inside the tube and while a small amount of juice leaked out the bottom (I was expecting this) - it seemed to somehow get enough juice onto the coil to speed up the wicking.

I bought this specifically to vape with Halo since I know it's mostly PG, thin, and kind to attys - I think it's going to work great once it's sufficiently broken in.

Hi Aunt cranky, This has happened with some of these cartos were they were sent with a really stiknky tabbaco flavor that was used as a primer on them before being packaged and sent to gotvapes. Not all of them had the primer on them but the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m389nhLM4Xwones that do have them need to be cleaned and it is really easy to do. So I am going to try to put the vidieo here for you, not to good with computer's so here goes, :)

Yea, it worked, I am getting pretty good at this. I also wanted to tell you to make sure when you empty your carto to clean it, make sure you put it in an empty bottle. You do not want to put it back in with your good juice, only because it is possible that this juice my now have primer in it and you do not want to ruin your other juice. It may still be good so later on put a couple of drops on and extra atty you may have and see if it taste good or bad. I hope you can get it cleaned and working, you will not be disapointed they are really good carto's. :)
