Hi Andrew and welcome to ECF, I was 1-1.5 PAD cigarette smoker for 35-36 yrs before switching to vaping, the transition went smooth for me I started at 18mg of nicotine and currently at 12mg. At first I didn't notice any physical change until a couple weeks into vaping, things started tasting more enhanced, I was less congested and could breathe better, I didn't wake up in the morning feeling light headed or with a slight headache, stamina has improved greatly, when I get out of work I'm not physically tired, and I can go on longer walks with my wife and dog and not be winded like in the past. The benefits are rewarding in so many ways. I interact with people constantly throughout the day and glad that I'm not carrying that smell/breath of cigarettes (which now totally makes me cringe that I had that smell) At 51 yrs of age I'm looking forward to a more enjoyable quality of life without the cigarettes.

Having been (on average) a pack to pack and a half per day smoker for the last 25 years, I have not COMPLETELY quit smoking altogether.... but I have cut back thus far to about a half a pack per day or less since I started vaping a couple of weeks ago. The typical first in the morning and after meal cigs are the hardest parts to wuit for me personally.
I have, however, noticed that I do have more energy and can breathe somewhat better even without having fully quit just yet. I am still on my flavor hunt but have found a few really good flavors that I notice have me smoking less and less when I have those flavors on hand (Vapin Plus brand Blueberry and Vanilla, and Smoke brand Clove).
There are a few other flavors I have liked as well but are harsh on the throat (likely high VG content as bottles have no % markings?) so the hunt still continues to find my perfect handful of "go-to" flavors.
