I was a 1 1/2 pack a day smoker for 40+ years and did want to quit, for my health mainly but I enjoyed smoking, I bought my first e-cig in oct and had 1 analog the first day and 2 the second day and that was it for me, have'nt had any craving's for an analog since, and I even have some pack of analog in the house yet, ( should just dump em ). I wish you luck, It's been a real blessing for me.

I think there is a learning curve you have to get through with E-ciggs. With a cig there is no maintenance. All you need is fire and a cig. With an E-cig you need charged batteries, a somewhat clean atomizer, e-juice, Lipton tea bags, blue foam, brass pipe screening, denture tabs to soak your atomizer, and on and on...lol No you don't all that but the only problem with e-ciggs is trying to figure out how to get a great drag till the last drop and that will have you hunting for cart optimizations.

I've finally got my daily e-cig experience to a point where I can comfortably say that e-ciggs are better than cigarettes have ever been. I've experienced a profound physical change since I quit smoking. It honestly feels like I'm 10 years younger and I've only been smoke free for 15 days. I'm never going back. I'll vape sewage water before I do.

I started vaping 41 days ago, a smoker for 3.5 years at about a pack a day. I tried every method to quit, patches, gum, even auriculotherapy. I managed to get by about 1 day each time. For the first few weeks i smoked and vaped because the perticular PV i used was basically crap. Since getting my 510 i only smoked in the morning to get over the AM crave. Just got some 36mg juice for the morning and I haven't had a cig in 3 days. Its a process and a slow one for some, but cutting out any number of cigs from your normal routine is better than nothing.

Some people find they are more addicted to the MAOIs in cigs (the chemicals added by the makers) that actually alleviate depression symptoms and its this that makes switching to nicotine + flavors so hard for them. We tend to recommend vaping + something else like snus or other smokeless tobacco alternative for those people. There's no RIGHT or WRONG way to get into vaping (and giving up IF thats what you want), there's only 'the way that works for YOU'
I cut back on cigs almost immediately the first 2 days I went from 20 a day easy to 10 or less, 4th day I was smoking 4 cigs, the day after that 2 then none. I jsut didnt want them. I hadn't planned to quit and didnt buy the PV to quit, but I quit despite my intentions. I don't miss them ( I was lucky not to be a person that missed the MAOIs) and I don't plan on taking them up again. Good luck to you and remember - take it as slow as you feel is right for you.
