Recap: got my mini yesterday, realized that I bought a charger that needs spacers, ordered the spacers last night, should arrive by Saturday at latest.

I've used 2 of my 3 batteries from lighthound, took a valium & am still about to panic.

Before I go on a scavenger hunt across Houston & the surrounding suburbs, does anyone know if Home Depot, or Lowes will have the battery charger I need for the Reo Mini? My husband is at work, so he can't rig up my current charger from there.

I'm basically looking for a physical store to buy a battery charger for lithium ion protected rechargable 14500 batteries. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Jen

We have a batteries only type store here in Roanoke, Va, which is a pretty small city, that only sells batteries and chargers. In Houston they might have the same thing, especially since it is a MUCH bigger city. Check out the local yellow pages and see if there is one there. I feel for you, nothing worse than getting a device and not being able to use it, it sits there and actively taunts you (I hope I'm not the only one that feels our electronic devices have human characteristics :) ).

I think a hobby shop is the only place you are likely to find a 3.7v charger.

Why don't you go with Mudflap's suggestion to DIY a spacer? Just cut a dowel slightly shorter than you need, screw in the screws at each end, wrap wire around screws. The screw heads should touch the battery and the charger, and the circuit is completed between the screws by the wire.

I live in a northwest suburb of Houston, and Lighthound is in a southeast suburb. It would take me over an hour to get there. Houston is HUGE. I did speak with the good folks at Lighthound on the phone and they love ECF, e-cig users, etc and are very familiar that their batteries & chargers are recommended for the Reo!

My husband is at work, & he deals with the mechanical stuff at my house. I am just the money behind those type of projects, aka "nurse with a purse". It wouldn't be a pretty sight if I started cutting dowel rods, using screws and stuff. I promise. However, I wish i'd seen the dime/penny suggestion before I headed to radio shack!

I located this charger online. Drove 5 minutes to my local radio shack, physically showed him my batteries, he opened the charger up in the store showed me everything, so I bought it. The technical specs looked correct. (but I still wish my husband was with me to be sure). Anyways, 30 day warranty.

Radio shack saved my vapaholic a**! Here it is in action charging

Here is my black mini (matches both my BMW & my street legal Mustang). It's shown with a pink & black swirl drip tip & LR atty from nhaler.
