just sold my 442. no fun to shoot. opted to go with my SP101. it's a little(read, A LOT) heavier, but I'm a lot more accurate with it.
I got a good deal on it, friend needed to pay some bills.
When we move back to GA in a couple of years, it can ride in the car with me ;)

OK. This isn't the greatest picture. But, this is mine now. All paid for. Just don't have a safe to put it in yet. So, it's staying at work until I have a safe place to keep it. (house full of grandkids)

I like revolvers and derringers

But since I'm still in Kalifornia for a while longer, I only get to CC this coppervape off property.View attachment 668049

good ole California.. I definitely don't miss that place.

during the winter months I pocket carry two J-Frames and during the hot months I'll normally carry my 2 inch SP101 in a pancake holster.

for "dress up" occasions, I'll either have my 4 inch sp101 in a shoulder rig, or my 3 inch Model 60 tucked away somewhere.

I always have a revolver somewhere close. lol

We are moving back to the USA in a couple years.

Wheelguns always go bang.
I have a few in various flavors :p
The 3 inch Model 60 above is my favorite.
It's all spiffy with the altamont grips.

Excellent all around handgun that shoots light .38s or full house. 357 mags.

Hey since there are gun folks here,

Rossi Overland Coach, double barrel SS (side by side) w/ external hammers ---- old cowboy "stage-coach" type --- you see these in Westerns a lot where they rob stagecoaches LOL ....they aren't importing them anymore and this one is pristine. I bought in 1973 or so and only fired it about 10 times. 20 gauge---would like to buy a small handgun instead ...or trade it out but not sure what I'm dealing with in terms of trade or value......this is too big for me and I live out in middle of nowhere and need protection from cotton mouths, or whatever. :)

You could probably trade it at your local gun store for a nice handgun.

Thank you so much, BN, all I wanted to know! I knew Rossi did did not make double barrels anymore. I just want something smaller like a 9mm or 38 SP because a neighbor left me their Mossberg Bolt Action in 410 which they've had since high school, and it's perfectly fine for "the farm" out here, and i really don't need 2 shotguns.

What got me thinking about this today was I woke up and there was a very large snake, wrapped around the vertical cedar log posts of my front porch, right next to my handrail, and I was unable to get my chores done until I identified him and I had not had my coffee yet. :) (last one was a cotton mouth and I consider one like that an "imminent threat" to my safety) but this one wasn't a viper, as it turns out.

It was funny, I couldn't figure out why he was there.....then I went around the side of my cabin, looked up near the roof, and noticed a large bird's nest in one of the eaves under the roof. Now I know what that snake was after. :) Its amazing how they find these things!!!

If you aren't a regular shooter, I would recommend a revolver.
Easier to use and maintain than an autoloader and more reliable.
Go for a .357 if possible.
You can fire .38 rounds in a .357 or use the heavier loads if needed.
Smith and Wesson or Ruger.
Both make fantastic firearms.
